Work permit..

Hello VJ it's been a while..

My EAD timeline has been all over the place with adjudication dates changing all the time. For instance originally I was supposed to receive my work permit 3 weeks ago and the dates kept skipping forward ... which is fine because then I would expect it the following week (not a problem). Now it has bounced back to August 29 ?? I am confused. Any ideas or facts would enlighten my understanding... I need to know why this is happening.

Thank you in advance,

Possible Adjudication dates tend to fluctuate - especially early on, then should stabilize as you get closer to the actual date range. The thing that affects this the most is people either not creating/editing their timelines or new folks suddenly creating them. It is one very good reason to always encourage folks to keep up with this (I see way too many that stop updating once they've had their K-1/K-3 etc interview).

All I can tell you is, it takes between 60 & 90 days (on average) to get the EAD approved (with a card to follow shortly afterward). You're almost at the 60 day mark so if all goes as most do, you should be seeing an approval some time in Sept. Hang in there - it shouldn't be long.
