Okay, here are a few questions that i ahve:

1. I just separated each document with post-it stickers and labeled them, and have multiple ducuments with binder clips. Is that good enough, or should i use one huge binder clip to hold everything together?

2. I'm only sending the two only passport photos i have for me and my wife, but when i wrote down our names and birth dates on the back, it kinda of shows a little in the front. Will that matter at all? bc i do not have any more.

3. who do i make the money order to? and what do i write down on the outside of the packet, should i include my name and address?

4. Im only sending one copy of the g325a for me and my wife, or do i need to make 4 copies if the one paper for me and my wife?

Please help me out. I want to get this over with tomorrow. Thanks!!

Here a some instructions:

http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/men...00045f3d6a1RCRD

And here are more:

http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/I-130instr.pdf

It looks like you are good to go. Nowhere does it say that you have to send passport and id of your true love, but I don't think it could hurt. In the PDF it says exactly who to make it out to:

'Make the check or money order payable to U.S. Department of Homeland Security'

it further says:

'NOTE: Please spell out U.S. Department of Homeland Security; do not use the initials "USDHS" or "DHS."'

Hope that helps. Others will surely opine after me...

Mark :)

Will the photos be okay, about the written part?

Maybe supplement that stuff with anything that shows you guys together. Receipts, boarding passes, entry/exit stamps in passports, envelopes to and from. If you have anything in both your names, that's great. Have you made her beneficiary on anything (insurance, retirement)? Has she you? Do you have any joint accounts? Remember, you are trying to prove that you know each other, communicate and share and get together as much as possible (such a challenge for us long distance folks -- although, probably easier from NY that it is from WA :)

Good luck.

Mark

You don't need to send your wife's passport or her ID. In fact, don't send the passport! What if they lose it?

I did binders full of evidence (way too much! ha)-including stuff from all our trips (receipts, boarding passes, etc...). I went way overboard but if you want to do it that way, binders are great!

Good luck Yankee!!!!

Our timeline:

2/88: We met in Sydney, Australia at a youth hostel! He's Finnish, I'm American-both were in our early 20s at the time and fresh out of college (so couldn't afford to visit each other's countries after that!). We had a three-day romance, then went our separate ways. He actually was going to Sydney a week later, but decided at the last minute to cut his trip short in another country and go early. Wow.

1988-1998: Wrote "snail mail" letters/sent Xmas cards, but lived our separate lives. I married someone else, divorced in 2006...he lived with someone for years and then that ended.

10/08: Because of a series of random life events, I Googled my Finn Man and found him (but no link to his email, and the website his name was on was in Estonian so I couldn't even read it!). It took me two weeks to find a link to someone else, who forwarded my email to him (we were both single at the time thankfully!!!!). The email went to his spam folder but he happened to check it that day and responded back to me immediately! This was after 10 years of no contact and almost 21 years of not seeing each other after we first met.

11/08-5/09: We traveled back and forth to visit each other. Love at first (second?) sight!

7/09: Married in Helsinki, Finland...after meeting randomly 21 1/2 years ago and finding each other again!!!!!

8/13/09: I-130 sent!!!!!!!!!

Rest is on my timeline!

It's sent! I'm scared, I sent it to

USCIS attn: FBAS

131 south dearborn 3rd floor

Chicago IL 60603-5517

It was the only courier listed on the instruction page for I130. My cover sheet inside the package has the address with the other po box address. I hope that won't get me rejected.. Am I good, or in trouble?

Sorry, I had a meeting to go to...

Your address is "close"... Too bad you didn't go back to the instruction links I had posted to this thread earlier, as the address is listed there as:

Any U.S. resident petitioner submitting a completed I-130 by courier/express delivery, should use the following address:

USCIS Lockbox

Attn: SAI-130

131 South Dearborn – 3rd Floor

Chicago, IL 60603-5517

I'll be keeping my fingers crossed...

Mark
