Do you mean the actual green card?

Eight days after my mom entered USA she rcvd her green card then followed with the Welcome to America letter wherein there is a case/reciept number that can be checked online.

basically your status is already a green card holder its just the waiting for the actual green card to mailed.

My parents arrived on Aug 7th and they got a "Welcome to America" letter on Sept 2nd, on the welcome letter there is a receipt number and you can use that to see the case status on USCIS website.

My parents got an update last week to say that their greencards have been ordered and will be with then soon.

My mom is waiting for her green card to arrive also. Do you know whether USCIS use certified mail or regular mail to mail the actual green card? Thanks

Comes in a plain white envelope regular mail.. just make sure your name is on the inside of the mailbox where the mail person can see it as they can return it to USCIS if they do not know the person is living there.

Tay
