day 7, still no RFE. This is so annoying, i'd wish they'd hurry up. It's labour day on Monday, means no mail.

Call them and see when they sent it. USCIS messed up on mine, they did not send it when it was suppose to be sent, if I did not hound them, I never would of got it, then my case would of been denied due to me not answering RFE timely!!

CALL THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How long did you wait until you receive the notice/started to call them?

Calling info to get directly to an officer? Which info is this? This is the number I call 1-800-375-528?

Every time I talk to them, all they do is read the message that is stated on the current status.

Please help. Please provide any other numbers you may have.

That is the procedure I always used and it work. And NO as a beneficary theywont talk to you, must be the petitioner.

Last resort, call customer service again, and ask to talk to a officer.

Thanks 'Paris Heart'. It's not working. Quite frankly I'm driving myself mad by ringing them and asking.

Best of Luck. Best wishes. Thank you.

Have you checked on line with your case?, when I got mine, my case on USCIS website showed that RFE was mailed blah blah blah, BUT it does NOT say what the RFE is pertaining to.

'Paris Heart' checked on-line, it doesn't state what they require. I think they make you wait, to see if you give up or continue.

I know Hon, I mentioned that, but does it say when it was mailed to you?

They say it was sent on 28th August. It's been 7 days now. Been getting a timescale of 7-10days. My concern is one of two things:

What document(s) do they require, is it something simple, or is it something that is going to take time to get hold of?

With Monday being Labour, we loose another day.

Received RFE today. They are asking for petitioners criminal clearance. They have sent in a check sheet in which she have to tick, if she hasn't been committed to any crimes that are stated on the paper. Does still need to get formal clearance? I'm totally baffled?

Does she just send back in the sheet, with a tick on it, confirming she hasn't been committed of any crime?

Please help

If she never committed any of the crimes listed, then there is no formal clearance sheet to obtain. The police does not keep a list of people who do not commit a crime, only those who do. Think about it.

Oh, and I'd vote yes just send back that sheet.

Has this got anything to do with my RFE:

International Marriage Broker Regulation Act Implementation Guidance

If so.

If the petitioner has NO crime convictions, then can she tick the box and send it off?

Best of Luck. Best wishes. Thank you.

So we just send back the sheet, with a tick on it? I'm in UK I had to go through police clearance, i received a certificate, stating no records held against me.

It just seems a bit puzzling why they'd send a sheet with it, asking to tick if no crimes. I hope it is that easy

We received our RFE, finally, they confirmation that the petitioner has not commited any of hte crimes stated below:

• Domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse and neglect, dating violence, elder abuse, and stalking.1

• Homicide, murder, manslaughter, rape, abusive sexual contact, sexual exploitation, incest, torture, trafficking, peonage, holding hostage, involuntary servitude, slave trade, kidnapping, abduction, unlawful criminal restraint, false imprisonment, or an attempt to commit any of these crimes.

They have supplied tick box, YES/NO. If she hasn't then she tick's no and if she has then tick yes.

Obviously she hasn't committed any of the above crimes, so does she just tick NO then then send it back off, with the envelop supplied, r do we need to obtain proof that has not committed any of the above crimes? But, the Police don't hold information on people ho haven't committed any crimes.

It's quite unclear. They have put in too much technical language in the form.

Has anyone else has a similar notice. Please share your experiences. I don't want to delay the petition any further. If its just a simple case of ticking a box and sending it off, please advise.

Best of Luck. Best wishes. Thank you.

My RFE took 10 days to arrive, and that was through Email. Seems pretty normal. Once they got the info back from me it was entered into the system 24 hours after they signed for it. Just keep calling and be nice. eventually you will get someone that will tell you more detail, at least I did. I got different answers from operator to operator throughout the whole process.

Good Luck!

This is interesting, something on background check triggered this?? Why do you think IMBRA is involved ? Or maybe petitoner missed checking a box o the forms for USCIS?
