as for me, my honey called yesterday for the medical and was told he can just walk in. so he'll get that done as soon as he is on vacations. I'm trying to decide when we should call for the interview scheduling. i noticed when some folks called my consulate right away they were told to wait more time, that they weren't in the system yet, so i'm wondering if i should wait until maybe next week. also i don't know if they give out advance interviews (like maybe they have something available in two weeks, but can i schedule for a month and a half from now? or will i have to call back?) (i know, i know, i probably just need to call them and ask. but i hate the phone so i've been avoiding it )

Also, does the petitioner or the beneficiary usually call? what did you guys do?

OH MY GOD! The jetlag is so bad that I can't believe I didn't realize this before.. our interview date is the DAY WE MET!

Things always happen to us on the 23rd of the month... it always seems so strange. I was so dismayed when I saw how far away our interview was.. but then I realized the date. We met on Feb 23rd 2008.

Kayla - I got on the Montreal forms and I got a reply, that send send in the 4 forms and checklist and not to worry about copies of the birth Certificate or police cert etc as they ask for those at the interview.

So I am sending my packet 3 today! yay

Ney & Pacienca y Fe: thanks for the cheer, but just to let u all know, I'm not stressing over it anymore. Not that I don't care but I figure, I can't speed it up so I just have to be patient. Right now my focus is on my trip to see him 3 wks from now. Maybe I'll be depressed about it when I get back. It'd be nice if we got it while I'm there.

So how sweet is this..

I just spent 2 hours on MSN with Fuat.. a few minutes after we logged off he called me. When I answerd the phone he said, "honey.. it is now midnight in Turkey, so this means for us it is December 2nd. I wanted to be the first person to say Happy Birthday and I love you."

So so so sweet.. BUT.. my birthday is the 28th

When I told him this he go so upset.. and then told me my mother's birthday, my sisters's birthday.. my brothers birthday... all correctly

He made me promise that when we are together, if he walks in the house with a cake and a candle and says happy birthday that I will not tell him it's not my birthday that I will just say "Honey.. thank you so much "

He never remembers his families birthdates and I always have to remind him.. I think it's sweet that he called thinking it was my birthday, but now he's so upset that he got it wrong!! I should have just played along with it

We are waiting on the Embassy to set up our appointment. They have the paper work. Looks like it's going to be in the beginning of the year as from I was told it's a short month in December. Hopefully sometime in Jan she will have her interview with her Packet 4 coming to her house soon I hope.

Sorry I have not posted for a while. Been having a couple of rough weeks at work. But now I think things will get easier. Anyway, I wanted to congratulate all on all the good news. One funny thing, today I learned that Brazil will from now on require US Citizens getting a visa to get a police certificate, in reciprocity for the US requirement. I thought it was kind of funny. lol

1 month and a half till I see Alice again. Can't wait!!!

Jenn: that is amazing about your interview being in the same day that you met Fuat. Is like you are coming full circle. Awesome!!!
