Finally found out where my application is, NVC sent it on November 3, and the courier has been trying to deliver since the 6th, but the consulate was closed due to holidays. I think this week we finally get the information. Alice is going to schedule her trip to the capital of her state to get the Certificates from the state and federal police. After that she will only be missing the medical exam. Any of you know much about the medical exams? I wonder if they too vary from consulate to consulate.

I`m not coming home until Sunday. So I`m going to enjoy every second of this that I can. I just wish I could understand the language more. I feel kind of helpless because he has to help me understand. I know some words, but not many.

Called NVC again today. Still there in AP.

Luis&Alice congrats on getting the information you've been seeking! I know Abu Dhabi charges about $110 for the medical + vaccinations.

My son called DOS today and they said the interview is on Feb. 21st at 10:00 AM. His fiancee' still hasn't gotten a package or anything in the mail as of yet. Seems like a loooonnnng time until they have the interview. Hopefully, she won't be placed on AP after that. Oh well, we are still hoping for her to get here for spring

Nothing today, sorry to say, that's what the postman always say! It's a song that thje kids at my job sing when there pretending to be community service workers such as a postal carrier.

We got our interview date!! Sifa got Packet 3 over the weekend. They assigned him a date of Dec 8 but since I want to go (no time off for this year) and it would be next to impossible to get everything done in Kenya in less than a month - things move really slow over there when it comes to the doctor's visit & getting the police certificate, etc. - I called & we rescheduled it for January 11! So excited!

They assigned him a date of Dec 8 but since I want to go (no time off for this year) and it would be next to impossible to get everything done in Kenya in less than a month - things move really slow over there when it comes to the doctor's visit & getting the police certificate, etc. - I called & we rescheduled it for January 11! so...for the first time my "estimated time frame" for NOA2 on the visa journey timeline has actually pushed out later, not sooner. hope that doesn't mean we've gotten stuck in a work slowdown or resource re-allocation.
