Totally off topic here..

By any chance are any of you working for a car dealership? My lease is ending next month, trying to do a cash purchase of the vehicle and even according to Ford I should only have to pay the residual plus tax, title, license, blah blah blah.

I keep getting told, by the dealership here, that they have to "Buy" the car to sell it to me and it will cost me $1500 more than the residual. I called Ford and they said they don't know anything about that and can't get involved in the business with the dealerships. I asked WHO the dealer would have to buy the car from and the person at Ford Motor Credit told me he had no idea why the dealer would have to buy the car to sell it to me.

I do NOT like people trying to take me for a ride.. and wondering what I should tell this guy. I've showed him my lease with the residual, plan on telling him that Ford themselves told me he doesn't have to buy the car and demanding that he sell me the car for the residual I have on the lease.

We have one other Ford Dealership here, but I got so mad at them I walked out. They would not even talk to me about buying out my lease and just wanted to sell me a new car. I kept asking, for an hour, just show me what I need to do to purchase my current car and they kept talking to me about how I don't want to do that and here.. look at this new one at a cost of $150 more a month than you a paying right now..

Got so frustrated with them I just walked out.

Anyone have any idea what I can/should do? I am running out of time and have been working on this for about a month. My lease expires in 3 weeks. I just want to buy the darn car, but I don't want to get ripped off.

Hi Jen,

when I bought my car out of a lease, I dealt directly with Honda Credit. Call Ford (or the lease holder you pay each month) directly to buy it.

Thanks for the well wishes! I appreciate it.

Right now I'm just worried about getting across the border. I brought my NOA1 and.2 with me, but I didn't get to work before we closed to get my boss to wirte a letter stating that I was scheduled to come back on the 16th. Its silly to worry, but I always still do.

Maybe I need a drink lol

I hope your Mom is alright.. and I hope you get across the border :) You should be on the plane now.. so we'll be watching for an update :)

I wouldn't think you would have a problem going there.. he might have a problem coming here, now that your case is registered at NVC..

Have a great time.. and as Kjenkins said.. stress the Ah'em :)

Congratulations Y'all!!!

Kayla - I hope your mom gets some rest and gets better soon. You on the other hand, I hope you get no rest. Tee hee!

Thanks for the link.

Tried that, Ford Motor Credit said they cannot "sell" cars and that I have to go through a dealer.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend! Kayla must just be too "busy" to let us know she got across the border without a problem :)

Hoping for some good news this week.. never looked forward to Monday's until now.

Good morning all you September filers ( VSC and CSC)!

Happy Monday .. yea.. whoever thought we would be happy to see Monday morning :)

OK... so, 8 VSC people to go.. and we want our first CSC person this week!

( Before anyone corrects me on the number of VSC people.. there are only 8 left that actually come into this thread :) )

And.. this thread has turned into an almost exclusive VSC thread... we need to give some support to our friends at CSC and get them back in here!

Okay, lets see if I can work his crazy french keyboard. I know its a little wacky on some things and I cant figure out which buttons to press for punctuation since they are all messed up on this one. Grrr!!

So far we've had a FANTASTIC time(Tee hee included ;) ). I actually DID have trouble at the border, but I don't know why. There was no one in the lines when I got there, so maybe it had been a slow day and he wanted to harass someone. But I told him I was vacationing to visit my fiance, and he got this weird look on his face, asked me if I visited him often, when was the last time, how we met, where he lived, if he was Canadian or American. I told him we had a K1 in progress and he had no idea what that was so I told him fiance(e) visa and he seemed to let up. Just made my perfect day even more perfect. I am just glad they didn't take me back to the room for questioning. And also, earlier that morning they must have saw something weird in my carry-on because they searched that. Funny to me since all I had was a jacket, my camera, and a book in there. My liquids were already on the belt. THEN, to top it all off Mathew was late, lol. Only by 15 minutes but at that point I was ready to scream! Not at him, of course. Just in general.

Yesterday we went and had breakfast at Cora's(best breakfasts ever!) and then we went to Quebec City so we could go to the Aquarium. It was SOOO cool! We spent about 2 hours outside looking at the polar bears and the walruses. He really liked the noise the walrus made when they come out of the water. Kind of sounds like a dog barking. Ended up staying for 3 hours and we watched the seal show. They're all sooo cute!! After that we visited all the old buildings in Quebec City. We didn't end up getting home until like almost 8. Fine with me because that means we were so hungry by that time that we just stopped and got St. Hubert's and I didn't have to cook. Yay!!

Alright, now that y`all have gotten a recap of my visit so far, I want to see some more approvals!!!
