Each day I see the anticipation, excitement, and the frustration in my sons face it is sooo heartbreaking. I can't begin to imagine what it feels like to be so in love and be so far from being able to reach out and touch the one you love at any given moment of the day. Not to be able to share all the wonderful daily things together from the start. It just seems so unfair. Then I look on this site and there are so many out there going through the same agonizing pain. I hope the centers are speeding up and everyone gets to be with thier love quickly. Good Luck to each and everyone of you.

That is so nice of you to say. Yes, it's so hard being away from the one you love. We check the USCIS website everyday hoping someone will have touched our petetition and knowing that many of us may spend the holidays alone. Your son and his fiancee are very lucky to have you!

Thank you for your kind response. It is actually me that is lucky to have them. ;) I just can't wait to see them together again. I can't wait until all of the filers get thier wish and are reunited.

Ours was only 30 pages. I feel like everyone else has had much longer applications than we did which makes me paranoid that I didn't put in enough. XD

Interesting.... the passport alone is 24 pages, let alone the g-325 for you and your fiancee, that's 8 more, then the letters of intent, 2 more, 1-129f three more, passport photo of you and your fiancee 2 more.... Did you include proof of having met and included pictures, etc? 30 does seem a little light but if you followed the checklists provided here I'm sure you got it covered.

You are correct on both counts. a change in the "last updated" date indicates a touch. The fact that you have your case number means you have the important information from the NOA1 that you need to use the USCIS website. After the initial "touch" you really don't want to see touches on your file until you get close to your projected date. There are very few instances of an unusually rapid approval - and getting early touches can indicate 1) absolutely nothing, but it'll drive you crazy, or 2) of possible RFE, which will also drive you crazy. My point is that this is a process that has a beginning and an end - regardless of the emotional energy you spend on it.

Good Luck to Everyone!!!!

I think I've checked....maybe 7 times this hour. I mean, honestly, it's unrealistic. They only got my file yesterday. But I have this INSANE urge to keep checking. And now I do this thing where I close my eyes, click, and they open one at a time to see if the money is gone. No luck. :( But I'll keep trying!

Until then I'll just online shop for warm clothes. I'm visiting him in November and he says that there could be some snow. We haven't had an actual winter in Kentucky in I couldn't tell you how long. Silly Laval. Maybe I'll continue my search for cool things for us to do while I'm up there, since he's no good at that kind of thing.

Well then we can only hope that your dream was true! I've had way too many deja vu moments in my life to discount the power of dreams. :)

Depends on how they printed their Passport. My printer does double sided printing so I was able to print the passport on just 12 sheets. I still ended up with about 45 pages though.
