Guys..... they say "no news is good news" but I believe we post good and bad news in this forum.

I told you guys that I was in front of my house....

OMG! I came home from school @ 9pm and saw my wallet neatly placed on my steps!!!

Yes... Although the culprit got away w/ over $400 cash PLUS my (already signed) disability check of $340, I am happy I got my belongis back. Now, I pray that he is stupid enough to attempt to deposit the check!

So everyone who wanted to wake up to good news, there you go.

Now back to NOA2 news, nothing for me yet.... :-(

I called USCIS and was basically told I can't speak to a live person or moan and grown to anyone UNLESS 60 days has passed with no response/decision/update/touches. So exactly 2 wks from today, I'll be calling again.

PacienciayFe, Alexbarrow, Anyone??

60 days!!!!!!!!!! OMG!!!!!! I am checking hundred times a day and still nothing... :crying:

GRRRR!!! Called NVC. They got out case yesterday, and guess what? WE'RE IN AP!!! grrrrrrr. I'm so mad I could spit right now.

I think they tell everyone they are in AP. They told me this too and our file was sent the next day.. well, at least I THINK it was sent. Since DOS is still saying it has not been received.. It was sent 11 days ago. Come on..

Don't worry about the AP. I think that's a standard answer.

Just a quick question regarding "Local Offices". What does it mean??? POE? I would like to know that cause we are intending to get me a flight to the airport closest to home...

Your "local office" is the USCIS office located closest to you. This is where you will go when you do AOS and need to do Biometrics and interviews. Mine is two hours away from where I live. You can do a search for yours on the internet.

Just put in : Immigration offices in XXXXX ( Whatever city or state you live in) This should pull up the place closest to you.

When you actually do AOS, they will send you a letter telling you which office you have to go to, so don't worry if you can't find it.

In answer to your other post, you can go through ANY POE.. doesn't matter where. I live near Washington D.C., but we will probably go through JFK.

OK.. Not the good news I was hoping to wake up to, but that IS great news!!! And maybe the person will be stupid enough to try to cash that check.

Speaking of Alexbarrow.. he has been absent in here for a while. Maybe he is just laying low until he has some good news to tell us, or is staying away from the site because he's too frustrated.. but he was on here more than most of us, at one point, and now he has just kind of disappeared. Alex... if you are out there.. hope everything is alright!

Again. NOT the good news I was hoping to wake up to this morning, but..

Got an email from the consulate with instructions for packet # 3. :)

I'm going to call DOS later and see if they still tell me it has not been received

OK.. next time I leave instructions before I go to sleep, I had better be more specific.. I want to see some NOA2's :)

But the return of the wallet and the notification that my packet actually was received is pretty good news !!

Calling them back again... Let's see what they say.

...Still in AP. But she gave me my case number and told me that she had no idea why he was going through AP but we should be out soon. Told me to call back every day if I want. That's good because I will!!!

I just wonder if this has anything to do with his security clearances that he has with his company. Probably not, but could be!

Danial has his medical on Wednesday! Yay!! Hey.. does anyone's fiance have children? Do you have to send the birth certs back in with Packet 3??

my fiance has kids, but my consulate does things sort of differently. they don't do a packet 3 - just a packet 4 and you bring in the papers when you come in for the interview. (this is my understanding at least!) but in that packet 4 it indicates that you need a birth certificate for each person applying for a visa. it's just my fiance coming so he wouldn't bring birth certs for the kids. Are your fiance's kids applying with K2s? then you will probably need to send birth certs for them along with the parent's.

OH GOSH.. don't get her started on every date of the year. She'll never get any real work done :)

The amount of work it took just to find out the info for her own NOA1 date was amazing.. adding in the day before and after hers was going above and beyond :)

But.. she likes statistics, so she might just add that date in.. or maybe explain how you can do it yourself.. but it will take you several hours!! Be prepared!

I tried it, but just didn't have the patience or the time.. and since we had the same NOA1 date, I just let her do all the work :) and I feel like I owe her for that!!!!
