The notice date of our NOA1 is September 22nd, 2009.

Don't forget to update your time line! Once things start moving at CSC, other filers are going to be looking at everyone's time lines to see how quickly things happened! I know I look at everyone's!! :)

Once you update it, it will also give you an "estimated" time you can expect NOA2 based on the information entered by other CSC filers.

Good afternoon! I am so thankful for Halloween candy... it is getting me through the day. And, I am marking my calendar for next year for Kayla to come throw pumpkins at my door.

Jenn, did you find out how to confirm that the consulate has received your file? The Australian embassy phone number is a pay for use line!! And, when you call them, they tell you that they don't handle k-1 inquiries and you should send an email! Then, when you send an email you get an auto-reply that says you will not be contacted because they don't give out any information!

Ugh...

No, I haven't found out how to confirm the consulate has the file.. but I have a friend who works in the Turkish Prime Ministers office.. they talked to someone they knew at the consulate and, according to them, we are showing up in their computer database. Of course, I don't know if this gets entered once they receive the file or if we are in the system because of NVC..

I am sure the file got there, but I would like to know a date so I can update my time line accurately :)

I'm really wanting to ask my friend if he can use his connections to get us a quick interview :).. but Fuat keeps telling me I just need to let God decide these things and let things happen the way they should :)

OH.. I finally got the letter from NVC, saying they had my file and it should be mailed to the consulate within a week. It was dated the day AFTER NVC said they had already mailed the file to Turkey.

Happy Halloween everyone! I'm off to an exciting day of work at our Halloween event and I'm sure it will be crazy. Last night, I didn't get out of there until almost 1:30am and didn't get to bed until 3:00am.. I am sure tonight is going to be even later.

What ever your plans for today I hope you have a great night!!!

NVC will send you a letter, but I got mine a few days after the file had already been sent to the consulate. Your NOA2 probably says it was sent to NVC and will then be forwarded to the consulate.

If I remember correctly, ours went about the same times as yours.. so your packet is probably already at the consulate

HI Jenn and ATexanandanAussie, I discovered in the Brazilian consulate by contacting them via email. Took about a day for them to respond. If it is similar you need to provide your NVC number.

As for being in their system, my friend in the US consulate in Brazil said that it will only be in their system if they receive it from NVC, otherwise they will not even know that the application exists.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYONE!!!!

That's what I was wondering about.. was it in their system because it had reached the consulate or because it had been to NVC. I know it left NVC, but none of the packages I saw go out weighed the same as mine.. so I know it's there, I just don't know when it got there. It could have been combined in a shipment with another one.. no way of knowing when it got there without contacting them I guess.

Sent an email and was told I would have a response in 5 business days. By then, I am hoping we will have packet # 3.

The California Service Center is still moving at the same pace. Vermont is up to 2 weeks ahead of California. If you go to the thread for September filers at CSC you'll see that many people are in the same boat as you. I hate to say it, but I wouldn't expect you to have any touches or a NOA2 for at least another month. Heaven knows we here shouldn't have had our NOA2's for another month, maybe 2.

I've said it a thousand times, but I don't think it's fair that VSC is going so fast and leaving CSC in the dust, but it is what it is and we can't change it. :(

Thanks for the heads up. I didn't know there was a separate thread for the CSC filers.

Fair or not, is not for us to decide. Good things come to those who wait, right? I'm just glad to be in the game. :)

Nah.......... things have been moving very fast at CSC in the last week. Nearly half of August filers have gotten approved. Check out the CSC thread. I expect September filers to start getting approved within the next 2 weeks!!

I realised your fiancée has a profile too, so it might be better you dont both update your timelines? not sure whats best in that case - for statistics sakes.

Hi all, darn my phone for having internet. Seriously, it's 5am & I'm up on VJ! Guys, I yearn for my NOA2 so bad that I literally DREAM about it, maybe that means it's coming soon!

For those who hasn't received theirs, how do you guys cope? I mean, I know life goes on but gosh this whole waiting process is totally nerve wracking!

Anyone a pharmacist in here? I need the strongest "anti-anxiety and put-me-to-sleep-at-night" drug!

Just kidding, everyone, hope your enjoying your weekend and can't wait for monday so USCIS can get back to approvals.

believe me, you are NOT alone. i haven't had a good night's sleep in forever. i unfortunately just have BAD dreams from all the stress. i'm trying so hard to reflect my member name (be patient!!), but it's difficult to think about anything else.

and of course i am a worrier, so i am worrying about all the things that could go wrong when i really should just chill and recognize that it's going to happen in its own time and nothing i do can change that.

Your NOA2's will come soon. I've got a feeling about it. And even if they don't come today or tomorrow, they ARE coming because they HAVE to.

I just wish it was sooner rather than later. I really want all of us VSC people to be on the same page again that way we can freak out about the next thing as a group. It's better that way. :)

And seriously, if my computer doesn't print this employment verification thing soon I'm going to toss it into traffic.

On the upside of that, it's showing I make double what I've been making (due to pay increases, thank you AT&T), but my w-2s and paystubs aren't going to show it. So much frustration is getting ready to be put on one little laptop!!!! grrrrrr!!!!

PACIENCIAYFE: I'm sorry u've had bad dreams but I always dream that either I received my NOA2 or that he called me & said he passed the interview. THEN I wake up only to find It was merely a DREAM!

Also, u are not a lone worrier, I worry as well, as to y others have received their NOA2 & not the rest of us, I think: what did I screw up on. But nothing happens b4 it's time & think of it this way, the more time couples spend apart, the more they realize they can't be without each other.

KAYLA: thanks for the faith & support!

JENN: yes u r right, we're all waiting but I think this wait is the hardest wait bcoz we expected it to b months b4 our NOA2 but now it's upsetting that we've see others got theirs in weeks & we haven't. Eventhough we are happy that approvals are rolling in! P.S. I thought I was the only VJ sleepy head!

Anyhow, hope all enjoyed their weekend (I went shopping in macy's herald square, MAJOR savings!) and as I usually say: goodluck to us all no matter what step you're in and here's to a great week of many good responses and news!
