thank you so much ,yes I signed ,but how did he know only 8 left ?

Karen went ABOVE AND BEYOND and took the time to enter in every EAC number, with our 9/25 date ( showing as 9/25 for some reason in the EAC #).. she started at 01.. and went all the way up until the date changed to 9/26.. This is how she found out there were almost 3000 petitions, of some sort or another, that were entered into the system at VSC on 9/24.

Checking each one of these, she was able to determine that out of all of those.. there were 55 that were for K1 visas.. so , she's been watching and keeping us updated on these.

Keep in mind, these stats are only for people with an NOA1 date of 9/24..

So the 8 she is talking about are NOA1 dates of 9/24..

Really have to give her a lot of credit for having the patience to do that. I tried.. and gave up after about an hour!

Good morning everyone,

After putting out some fires as soon as I got to work, I finally made it to JV. Everyone should check too about packet 3, I learned that my consulate in Rio does not send or require packet 3, but packet 4 which is downloadable from the their website. We dont have to mail anything ahead of time, just show up with the documents.

We are now in the system of the consulate, my fiancee for the first time seem to be happy about the whole process. I think it is because we can see the light at the end of the tunnel finally. :)

I wish we could do it this way.. once we send it packet # 3, they will review it and then send us packet # 4 with our interview date.. or if somethings missing, they send it back as we have to do it again.

From what I have been told, we should expect and interview date 3-4 months from the day we get packet # 4, but some of the people in the Turkish forum have been as little as 2 months. Here's to hoping!

OK.. I seem to be the only person in here right now, and getting caught up on everything I missed between last night and this morning.. so the last 5 or 6 posts have been from me..

and I am SURE people are getting sick of reading my posts.. so.. I will stop now :)

Have a great day everyone.. and Karen.. I'm feeling a lucky day for 9/24

kjenkins86 and paciencia y fe, I am in the same boat as you guys. I sent my I 129 F on 09/19 and I got my NOA1 on 10/05/09 with receipt date as of 9/25 and it hasn't been touched since 9/29, so I continue to wait impatiently. On Igor's list the other two people that received their NOA1 with reipt date 9/25 too have already been approved, so it's kind of frustrating not to be approved yet, although I'm very happy for them as well as for those who continue to get approved. Good luck to you all and hopefully we'll be as lucky soon. Best regards!

Look on your NOA1 under notice date; it’s probably October 2nd or 3rd. My petition was received on August 27th, my notice date was August 31st and I received hard copy in the mail on September 2nd.

Our notice date was October 2nd, so I have to put that date in timelines and not October 7th.

Yes.. your NOA1 date would be October 2nd.. not 7th.

Thanks!

please would you tell more steps on how to check ? like with EAC what numbers should I start and how to check for specific day ?

I'd appreciate your help.

thanks

Use your EAC number.. and go to something like the last 3 or 4 digits... mine was 0496

Showing I was the 496th item entered into the system that day..

When I put in the EAC number I used 001 instead of 496.. and then 002.. 003.. etc. Unless Karen has come up with an easier way to do this, I believe this is how she did it.

She can be the best one to answer that..

It will show you what kind of petition was filed.. K1, Work Authorization, AOS, etc... You will probably find thousands on the same day as yours, so may have to really spend a large amount of time finding all the K1's.. but it can be done.

Karen has proven that!!! She really is amazing that she would take the time to do that and then keep updating all of us with 9/24 dates.. and everyone else too. Even if your date isn't 9/24.. it gives you and idea of how many they do a day.. and how few of us are actually on VJ.

hey all,

jenn & fuat - thanks for the nice words! i'm afraid i am obsessed with collecting data, hence the patience to go through all the numbers. it gave me something to do (of course at the expense of not doing my real work! ;-)) while i'm impatiently waiting for NOA2. :-)

i did exactly what you said - started with 0001 and went up until i was consistently not getting any results (telling me that's the last number for our date.) i believe the reason why ours is EAC09252 is because it's the 252nd working day of fiscal year 2009. (then 5 for VSC, then the four-digit id) I don't know if that is right, but that is something i've heard.

i wrote down all the ones that were for 129-Fs and their original status, then just kept checking them and updating the status. The initial review of all the numbers took forever, but it gave me something "productive" to do related to the visa, since i couldn't concentrate on my real work! ;-)

And if I forgot anyone.. please forgive me..

Karen... you really did amaze me that you had the patience to do all that. I just couldn't do it.. but, like you.. all this stuff has kept me from my real work.. and I find I spend way too much time on here!! I really have to work on getting back to my very strict time management!! My friends always said I am ####### about it.. but not since I found this site!

Oh Ney.. thanks for the nice message :) I am glad to hear your son is doing a little better, but hoping you will get some really good news soon.

OH TRUE! You were the one who originally got us hooked on this idea :)

Hey, does anyone know how to actually confirm the date the package got the consulate.. aside from guessing which one is yours on the DHL list?

I thought I read, somewhere, that you could call DOS and they could tell you when it reached the consulate/embassy..and I think I even saw a number for this somehwere, but now can't find it. Anyone heard of doing this?

I see people update their time lines when the package reached the consulate, but how do you really know for sure?
