can u imagine those who filed way before september?

that is soo sad.. really...

Yes, it is but I guess there's nothing we can do. I've been wanting to call uscis so bad to really question why haven't I even been touched while there are people who are getting approved that filed after me BUT 1: I don't wanna screw myself. They'll probaby say "ok, u want a decision? You're denied!" and 2, I don't want them to come scoping out vj and looking at people's timeline. And by that I mean, I noticed that there are alot of people on here who hasn't known each other for more than 2 years and if that's the case, that is not something that I would put on my timeline because you never know who is watching. By the way, I googled mine and my fiance's name and it came up on vj with ALL our information, I was shocked!

But what we're forgetting is that just because he recieved the NOA1 hardcopy on October 6th doesn't mean that's the NOA1 date. I recieved mine in the mail on 9/30, but my NOA1 date is 9/24.

You don't have to know each other for more than 2 years. You just have to prove that you've met in person within the last 2 years. If you met each other 8 months ago, and met in person 6 months ago, that's fine. There's no time limit on actually KNOWING each other.

No, you just have to have proof that you've met each other in the last 2 years(as in visited each other in the last 2 years), not that you've been together for a whole two years.

I just got NOA2 and I have known my finance for less than two years... in fact it's not even a year yet.

oh , also we were very honest on our letter of how we met and timeline of when we met.. they have our exact dates...and we didn't seem to have an issue.

Don't worry mine wasn't touched too it just went to approved status. Also My case was at NVC for 2 days :) it's on it way to Poland now and should be there today :)

I just got back from Chicago, and couldn't get on the web page for a few days. Haven't even had time to worry about NVC. I have one question and one comment..

QUESTION: How do I get in touch with NVC to find out my case number and if/when it was sent to the consulate?

COMMENT: I was really hoping to log on, after not being on since Wednesday, and find a lot of people saying they got NOA2 :(... Maybe next week. It has to be soon!!!!

We are also hoping to get our NOA2 soon. We sent our papers on September 30, got NOA1 on October 7. It would be nice to have all this behind and start to live together.

Hey everybody!! Okay, I have been working all day and just now able to send shouts out! Congratulations to everyone who got theirs today!!! Guess what..... !! NVC received ours this afternoon! We are already in their system after only 2 days!! I got my email yesterday that it was approved on 10/20 and NVC already has it!

I know that y'all's are coming soon! Oh... AND, we have decided to do Vegas - All the way!!

Can i ask how u found out that NVC got your application.?

I called 603 334-0700 (the National Visa Center) and when I got through the automated system, I talked with a rep there and gave her my EAC number. She asked me for my name and my beneficiary's name and birthdates and then confirmed my email address. She said, we just got it this afternoon and it may be up to four weeks until it is sent to the embassy (but, I am hoping for sooner of course.)

They are there until midnight. They did not have it yesterday. So.. since you got yours yesterday, call tomorrow morning and check, then check again in the afternoon. :)

I just wrote a post asking how to do this.. guess I should have read through all the days I missed before asking questions :)

and glad to see that there were a few semptember approvals in the last few days.. the people I am really pulling for have not been approved yet.. but it's coming. I just know it is.

I can't wait to go visit Mathew for a week in November that way I wont worry about any of this visa stuff. But, I know that probably wont work, lol. He works all day and I'll be home alone with the kitty. What else will I have to do besides clean and cook? :innocent:
