It did make me sad to see the new September filers thread. I can only hope that they become as close and like a family as we are. I seriously don't think we even had one little argument since day one. The CSC filers thread was full of them, but we were just so happy to have each other and to have all the support. I wish the new September filers all the best, they're carrying our torch on for us.

Jenn I think it would be awesome to have a meetup for those close by. As soon as I get settled into my new job and we move into our house I'm all for it. Shouldn't be too much longer. Hopefully Krystle and Karen can come too! They're the closest ones. I think Maggie is moving to Indiana, or maybe Georgia, I'm not really sure. Maybe in a few years when everyone is really settled in and working we can take a VJ vacation! Somewhere sunny, please! :)

New job? New house??? Am I missing something somewhere? Did you get a new job and the two of you finally get a house? How did the job hunt go with Matthew?

Wow! New job? New house? GO YOU, KAYLA!!! On the job front - I GOT ONE! FINALLY!!! Sure it's only seasonal right now (I'm selling calendars at the mall) but if I work hard, they might move me to the bookstore! SO EXCITED!!! And so HAPPY TOO!

As for the CSC thread - yeah, I definitely agree. WAY too much arguing and that's why I just tried to stay out of it as much as possible. I was always of the mindset that patience is a virtue, but I got snapped at when the NOA2s started rolling in and I hadn't gotten mine. Patience might be a virtue, but when everyone else was getting theirs, I started to get antsy, haha. Someone didn't like that very much and drama ensued. Meh. I'm glad I had this thread to turn to once the other one fell apart...

I hope you all are doing well! <3

Did anyone else feel a little strange, or sad, at seeing the 2010 September Filers thread? I know it sounds weird, but I saw that thread and felt a little heartache.. they are just starting out, getting to know each other, starting to stress togther, mail out fingers and toes, etc... and we are almost at the end of our Journey.

Just a few more Green Cards to go... It will be one year, this week, for Kayla, Karen, Krystle and me... come on ladies. I want to see one of you get the GC on the anniversary of your NOA1.

I know money is a little tight for some people right now, but what would you think of us actually trying to get together after everyone has AOS done? It might be too hard for some people, like Frenzy, who are so far away.. but Krystle, Kayla, Karen and I aren't THAT far from each other. We could pick some place in the middle and meet..

Atlantic City? Washington DC ( Ok.. that's pretty close for me... but just throwing places out there).

What do you think??

I am great at finding cheap places to stay, and cheap ways to get there... so for those people who are tryign to rely on one income right now ( or family) we could do this cheaply and have a nice weekend!

Hope everyone is having a good weekend and I am goign to be looking for those AOS approvals on the 21 ( for Krystal) and 24th for Kayla and Karen

I didn't feel strange, I felt proud that they are taking on our torch and I did stop in like a few of us to wish them all the best of luck.

A meet up sounds great to me, Arlantic City seems like the middle, the middle for me, Karen and not to sure for you and Kayla.

It did make me sad to see the new September filers thread. I can only hope that they become as close and like a family as we are. Come on and tell us about the new job already!

hey guys!

krystle - how you guys doing?

jenn - you recovering from chemo okay?

kayla - new job? new house? details please!

maggie - are you in indiana now? how are you settling in?

frenzyheart - wedding is coming soon! you must be so excited!

Atlantic City would be great for us - we can probably take a bus directly from NYC down there for a weekend!

On the immigration front, we're just waiting for the GC now. Could be a short wait, could be a long one. Hopefully short! We want to go abroad on vacation in December and it would be much easier to travel to if my honey has his green card. If we don't get it in a month or so we'll need to make alternate plans. He's leaving thursday for 11 days in Ecuador and it will be the first time we are apart more than 16 hours in almost 6 months! :( But i am so happy he will be able to finally see his family again. Hopefully everything will go smoothly with the Advance Parole doc on his return.

hope everyone is doing well...xoxo

Hi everyone! Jenn, no one didn't get their greencard but hubby got his ead and travel document!!! They can keep the greencard for a while, hehe!

As for me and Glenoi's situation, unfortunately it got worse but we're working on it and I look forward to better days... BTW we're going to Florida next month, it'll be our mini vacation, honey moon and chance to get a break from it all so we're very excited.

Karen I don't think I could sit and watch Glenoi go back home for the first time and not go back with him! How are the English classes going for him?

So I've been trying to reply for days, but I keep getting distracted and then my post goes away. :(

We're actually moving to Lexington. Mathew found more jobs there that he liked. I'm just transferring stores with AT&T, but I'll be doing a completely different job. Right now I do like the inventory, merchandising, helping with the paperwork, and talking to customers when the store gets really busy--at the new store I'll actually be selling.

As most of you all know, we had been looking for a house for about 2 months with no luck. Every time we found a house we liked it was usually in the wrong part of town. Last week we went and stayed with my uncle during my days off of work so that we could go look at houses and just so happened that a house 2 miles away from my uncle is exactly what we're looking for. It's got 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a 2 car garage. But that's not the best part!!! The closet in the master bedroom is as big as our bedroom here at moms!!!! I saw that when the lady showed it to us and I was like "I'm home!". There's other people that want that house so we're trying to move quickly. Just as soon as I hear something from my transfer I'm going pay her the deposit on the house. Mathew refuses to buy for the first 2 or 3 years, so we'll be renting this one, but as long as I get that closet I'm okay with that! :)

No touches or anything on the GC since September 3rd. :( I had really hoped to at least get a touch on our filing anniversary.

OH MY GOSH!!!!

This is such wonderful news!!!! I'm so happy for you Krystle. This is exactly what you've been wanting and now you have it.  :dance:

Mathew and I have decided that we're going to start trying hopefully by Christmas this year. However, I don't know if what's going on, but I'm feeling a little different lately. I'm not going to start worrying or getting excited until I miss my period, but everyone I work with keeps telling me I'm pregnant. I guess we'll see. It could be my medicine having a funky effect on me, but on the other hand we could have a little baby on the way!

Wow! You've been a busy bee! I'm glad you two found a house that you like and I hope you get it! Hopefully you hear something about the GC soon, too. It makes me wish that we could file right away, lol. I just want to be done with this all right now.

I start my training on Thursday, and I help setup next Tuesday. We're leaving for Niagara Falls next Thursday. I'm still surprisingly not stressed about the wedding, which is a good thing. He and I have been arguing a bit, but I think that's just because I'm a bit moody right now, lol.

I hope everyone else is doing alright, and I hope you all have a great day!

Kayla you have been very busy! Happy to hear that you found exactly what you were looking for! But why such a big house though??? I love big closets too!!!

Everyone at my job kept telling I'm pregnant too but I didn't want to get my hopes up too high because my last monthly bill came Sept 2nd so I was thinkin its too soon to know.

But yesterday at work I ate an Apple and it didn't go too well with me so I came home, did an e.p.t. and it was positive. I instantly started crying :)

I surprised Glenoi by giving him a baby gift bag with the test stick, a card and a pair of baby boots we bought a few months ago. He had the biggest smile on his face. So we're both excited, even though I'm a bit scared :(

Kayla it would be awesome if we were pregnant buddies! Forget December, start trying now ;)

Frenzy I wish you all the best with your new job!!

AandD how have you been?

Thanks for the congrats everyone!

Well, my mother comes to Lexington to visit alot, so I figured that we may want to have an extra bedroom. And then I started to think that maybe his parents might want to visit at the same time too, or maybe they'd visit and bring his brother. I'm an overthinker, so of course it blossomed. But the house is really not a bad price for the area, so it was a win win situation.

I would love to be pregnant right now. I don't know why, I just would. I wanna be a mommy so bad. Shoo, now I gotta go watch something depressing to get myself less excited. LOL.
