got RFE. :(

I know it's not the end of the world or even a terrible thing(at least it means they were working on it!), but it's still a horrible, sinking feeling.

I can't even imagine what it would be for. I had everything they ask for. I pay a lot of attention to this kind of stuff. :bonk:

Probably its no biggie...

We had RFE for AOS because Mr. Mr. forgot to send in an entire page :bonk:

We also had RFE on our I-129 because Mr. Mr. did not have the proper stamp on a document :bonk:

In both cases, it did not seem to slow down the processing very much, if it all. Lucky for Mr. Mr.

We have AP approved and EAD card ordered today, 60 days after filing, even with RFE.

So...its probably going to be just fine

Still sucks to get RFE but... cheer up! :star:

ick...so sorry Kayla! seems like it's usually either related to the medical/vaccination stuff or financial (2009 tax returns, w2s etc). I can't remember - what did you send in for the medical stuff, did you do the "fill out part 2 & 5" of the medical form option or just send the vaccination form?

We just sent in the vaccination form. I even included a note on the cover page saying that I was only including that because his medical was done on Jan. 5th and that it was in the packet handed over at POE. I'm going to bet that they've lost it. I double and triple checked everything that I sent in. Everything was signed, dated, and all forms were up to date.

It's just annoying that we'll lose some time over this even if it is a small amount of time.

Well, we got it today. And I'm absolutely LIVID. It's all for things I submitted!! They just lost the stuff!

Basically it's for the ENTIRE I-864 and I-864A package(which was clipped together with a black acco fastener). They want it all. I KNOW I included it in that package, because the day I sent it out I had to go to moms office and have her sign her portion, then I put it in the envelope and sealed it.

Whatever. Tomorrow I'm overnighting the I-864/864A, tax returns for 2009 for the both of us including w-2s, PLUS the tax transcripts. Try and RFE me again over the same thing and we're gonna roll, USCIS. :ranting:

You tell them Kayla!!! - At least it's paperwork you can refill out and not his medical or something like that!

Unfortunate but I'm glad you're able to fix it easily!!

OH GEEZ. Well, I'm glad you're able to get it back to them so quickly!

Tomorrow is my fiance's POE. Kinda nervous, kinda excited. Things have been absolutely insane with my wedding, though!

Problem #1: Had a decently built up idea for the wedding - MOH, 1 bridesmaid, and obviously mirrored on the groom's side. A few weeks ago, my MOH decides to tell me that she can't afford her dress despite that it's only $200 and she was told about it back in March. My future mother in law wanted to buy Matt's brother a suit instead of renting a tux, so there were some issues there. Matt and I talked and decided to just nix the whole bridal party thing, and have it just be us up there. MOH threw a fit, and mother in law was offended. Bridesmaid and Groomsman were okay with it though. I said whatever.

Problem #2: Ran into MAJOR financial complications, as in all the money I had planned to use for the wedding drifted right out the window. So, kind of screwed there if we can't find someone to help us. Luckily, some people are. :)

Problem #3: We had a BBQ/Reception/Going Away party for Matt last Sunday, and his mom decided to tell me that she didn't think that she, his dad and his brother would be able to make it to the wedding. This is not an option to me. You know how most people elope to get away from their family? Well, not only are we "eloping" WITH our families (his parents/sibling and my parents/siblings) but it was my mother's idea, and now our parents are working together to make sure that Matt and I are getting married, and the wedding has been moved from Iowa to New York -- Niagara Falls, to be precise! His family can attend, my family can attend, etc! The only person that can't is my biological Dad, but he's being a goober about some stuff anyways, so it may be better than he can't.

*LE SIGH* So yeah. I'm sorry for not posting lately. I hope you all are doing well, and I plan to catch up on the last few pages of this thread once I'm back home tomorrow night (well, hopefully tomorrow night, lol - depends on how long the border takes us...)

Take care!! :)

Oh frenzy, I hope POE goes well today and I really hope the rest of the stuff works itself out. I would ignore the MOH and Mother in law. It's your wedding. Do whatever it is you guys want and need to do!

I hope financially it all works out in the end though and that you both have a beautiful wedding day...WITH FAMILY. How odd for the family to say they don't think they are going to make it to the wedding... geez.

Well, it wasn't because they didn't want to be there or anything. Their third son is severely autistic AND has MS, so they were having problems finding someone to come and stay with him for the weekend because it's Thanksgiving weekend up here. It was understandable, but I didn't enjoy the idea any less... hence the new idea came to pass, hehe. :)

I'm thinking I probably should have gotten more sleep last night... Oops...

Yep today is biometrics. I'm sitting in the car right now waiting for him to get out. It should be pretty straightforward. I don't see this taking more than 30 minutes since the parking lot is empty. But I gotta pee so bad I hope it takes less LOL. I stopped at a gas station but someone was camped out in there so I've gotta wait until after he's done.

Hurry hurry! ;)

POE was rather uneventful. We waited about 45 minutes to get to the actual border, and we were at the border for about 2 hours before they sent us on our way. Didn't bother to look in our U-haul or anything. The drive here, though... quite a different story. We got pulled over by Illinois State Police around 3 AM due to "improper lane usage" - he went over the white line on the far right of the highway a few times. The cop was nice and let him off with a warning, but not before having him go back and sit in the cop car with him while he ran Matt's information. We're assuming he wanted to make sure Matt hadn't been drinking. Other than that, we were greeted by thunderstorms at the Iowa border and lots of flooding. I'm currently running on about 45 minutes sleep, tops, but there's too much to do so I can't sleep yet. Ah well. it'll happen eventually, lol

Hope all of your days are going well!
