I did 2 day shipping, overnight was $21 and 2 day was $7 with signature confirmation.

Don't laugh at me but I swear that L.Box was a person!!! I kept wondering why does everyone's package gets signed by the same person. LOL!

No I haven't heard fromNey. Funny you asked because I was planning on emailing her...

Oh ok thanks.

Yayyy!

I'm very anxious to see the check cashed as well.

Once again.. I am sure none of us have ever been so happy to see the government take money from our bank accounts :)

Stopped in to give some great news.. GUESS WHAT WE GOT IN THE MAIL TODAY!!!!!! We got a wonderful little NOA form that says "WELCOME TO THE UNITED STATES"

Fuat was approved for AOS and will have his greencard in about 3 weeks or less.. INSALLAH... yeah!!!!

We have our AP documents, still waiting for EAD to come.. but maybe it will show up before the EAD.

HAPPY DAY FOR US.. and tomorrow will be the 4 month anniversary of Fuat coming to JFK :):)

Congratls to Matthew on passing the driver's test!!!

By the way, if you sing up for texts and updates on the USCIS web page they don't update very often. We just got the noticie of Permanent Residence and the web page still says "Initial Review".. it was approved last week.

So I took mathew to the hustler store tonight just for the heck of it and I've never seen him act so scared! It was so cute.

But there was an old man on one of those scooter things with a huge hustler bag driving down the street. By far the funniest thing I've seen all day. He was every bit of 70 years old. Lol

Ohhhhhhhh

Ladies, before I even discussed marriage I decided I will either 1. keep my last name or 2. hyphenate(sp) it but G's last name is too long to add to mine, if I did, it would be krystle mccree-jenkinson AND if I go against what I really want, krystle jenkinson doesn't sound right to me

So my question is, how do I go about getting it changed, how much does it cost to change the name on my passport, driver's license, how do I get the name changed on all my accounts (and uh, I have ALOT of accounts) :bonk:

Have a great day everyone!

First thing I did was go to the SSA office and get it changed there. They just ask to see a copy of your marriage license. Then once that comes in you can go to the DMV and get that, mine cost me $12. I haven't don't the passport thing yet since it's $110 to that. I can't believe they raised their prices so much on this stuff.

Everything else can be changed after you get both your card and your license. I know my bank asked for it.

Have you considered just keeping McCree as your middle name? That's what I did - dropped my middle name and just made my name First name, Maiden Name, Married name. I'm really happy having done it that way :)

I haven't gotten my passport changed yet but everything else is done (I think!) Drivers license was the only thing that cost any money to change - I think it was $10. And I waited to change everything else until after I had my new DL & SS card...most credit card companies, bank, work, etc wanted to see my DL at least before changing anything.

That's another issue, I like my middle name! Why can't he just take my name, is that possible? Hmm, lol.

It didn't really take all that long. I applied for my new SSN on tuesday, and got it Friday. Then I went to the DMV the following Monday and changed my DL and walked straight over to the bank. I am none to happy about replacing my passport though. We are newlyweds and I'm only working part time. I think we collectively have about 500 left in the bank after the AOS fee just came out. And we are still trying to move. We could cash out some of his stocks and transfer it here but we are saving that for a rainy day.

I don't think there's a deadline for changing your passport, it just needs to be done before you travel.

I think he would be adorable with your last name. ;)
