I applied for the SSN and should receive the ID card within 2 weeks. Of course, after I receive it I have to go again and apply for a new one with the correct family name because the first one will be on my former family name.;)

Im happy that we done that quickly. A clerk was so nice and helpfull and explained me that I can apply for a new card as soon as I receive the first one.

Jenn you'll be the prettiest snaggletoothed lady there ever was! ;) Seriously, you'll always be gorgeous no matter what.

Okay, so it's 38 days until the wedding. I'm officially freaking. Remember all of that awesome wedding advice I had for everyone a while back? I seem to have lost the ability to share it with myself! LOL. I did get some deco water pearls and I'm going to fill eiffel tower vases with those, put some floralytes in and then top it off with ostrich feathers for our centerpieces. But that's about all I've been able to do lately. I don't know what's wrong.

The end result should look something like this:

7825608_1.jpg

It looks beautiful!! Don't worry everything will fall into place!

oooh beautiful! Don't worry Kayla, it's normal to freak out.. just wait for the day of the wedding LOL. It'll all work out, and you'll have a beautiful and wonderful day. just take it one thing at a time and you'll realize you didn't lose the ability to share your awesome advice with yourself lol. *hugs*

Jenn - thinking of you today and your chemo. I hope it goes as well as it can :(... thinking and praying for you...*hugs!!*

I graduated yesterday and I couldn't help but to think about her all day, I hope she's well :star:

Krystle, congratulations on Graduating!!

First day of chemo was ok. Slept through most of it.. yesterday was the first day I really felt ill, but today I am ok. More worried about Fuat than I am about myself. Poor man has only been in the country two months and dealing with all this... AND through in the fact that I am having to deal with abrupt and early menopause.... really... he's having a lot thrown at him all at one time :):):) my poor darling.. but he's handling it well.

I got approval to go to Norfolk for the biometrics appointment next week. We are going to be optomisitc that I will be feeling well and we've booked a room in Virginia Beach the night before. Still too early after surgery to really "enjoy" the room ( so no ice packs needed), but it will be nice not to be a prisoner in my house. It will be a month by then and I only get outside once in a while :)

Hmmm.. I should be appreciating my life as a lady of leisure and I should stop complaining :) Eventually, I am going to have to go back to work. Bald, snaggle tooth and all :) Kayla.. thanks for the compliment. It made me smile.

Hope everyoen is well... especially our girl Maggie :)

I'm sooo happy to hear that you're feeling great!

I can't wait for you to get back to a normal life with your hubby!

Question ! Why applying twice then ? My idea is getting married first and then applying for the SSN. This works ?

You apply as soon as you get here just to have it, after you get married you can go and change your name or wait until you adjust your status to apply for another one that will not have the stamp that says "only for work purposes with a valid work permit" (or something like that)

But that's why you apply for 2 b/c the 1st one will have that stamp...

I on the other hand was so stupid for waiting last minute to apply for G's non drivers id from mvc. I went today and was told he's not eligible to apply so I left and went back because I know I read somewhere that he can apply. But when I went back and spoke to manager, she told me they can't b/c his status expires in 1 week. 90 days go really fast!
