Tomorrow will be my last day on the forums for a week.. heading to Montreal on Wednesday for Medical/Interview..

I can text or call with my information as soon as it's over if you provide a number to me in PM. I've asked Kenyth to try and post to the forums for me though with my "approved" information. ;)

Oh we're going to miss you. So why a whole week though?

I'm going to kill my uncle.

He works for Frito Lay and today is loading day(whatever that is) so he asked me to come pick him up because he has to leave his truck for a while. Well he text me and told me to come, and no sooner had I walked out the door did he call me and tell me nevermind that it's not going to take that long and he'll be able to get back to his truck on his own.

I had already closed the door.

Yeah, that's right.

Locked out.

I had to climb through a freaking window! I'm 5'1! That aint no easy feat!

Plus I'm sure the neighbors thought I was breaking in.

He's dead. Sooo dead. :ranting:

Oh no, I hope you didn't hurt yourself or anything...

Maggie.. good luck and we will be thinking about you!! If no one sent you a PM with their cell number I think we will all go crazy waiting to here from you.

Kalya.. I hate Delta.. they are notorious for losing luggage.

Ney.. she is coming in a few days isn't she ?? :)

Seb.. hello Seb?? are you there?? Probably not.. his honey is here now, so he will probably be like me and have a short time he's not alble to get on here.

We are going to the DMV for a drivers license tomorrow and then... off to get the marriage license. There is no waiting period to get married, once we have the licesne, but it can take up to 30 days for it to be sent to us.. so... just going to wait and see and then set a date. We decided to get married in our house.. my family there a few of my friends.. and one of our friends officiating the wedding. The state of Virginia will give you a one day permit to perform wedding ceremonies... just fill out a bunch of forms and you are considered an "officiant" of the state or something like that..

It was Fuat's idea to do it at home ( which is how the religious weddings are sometimes done in Turkey).. and to have our friend Nate do the wedding. I like the idea a lot. I always said I didn't want the whole big fluffy white dress deal... won't have time to fly to Vegas.. and didn't really want to do it at City Hall. So.. home it is :):)

Wednesday we apply for the soc card.

Thursday I have a huge media day for the opening of our new roller coaster

Friday.. the park opens for the 2010 season.

Busy week but I will try to check in at least once a day :) I really miss keeping up with everything, but I am sure things will settle down and I can get back to normal soon.

That's exactly how I feel, didn't want to have it at city hall, didn't really want a bif fluffy dress and now I don't know what's gonna happen... Will post as soon as I know... But I'm glad you figured out a way to make everyone happy :star:

Oh forgot to mention, a friend of mine called immigration and they told her the stamp that you get at the airport is not a work permit, it just gives you the "ability" to work  Whatever the hell that means  I don't see why they give it to confuse people :bonk:

Jenn, I love the whole getting married at home idea. That's what we would have done if we didn't go for the whole beach wedding thing. But I'm confused about what you said with the 30 days to get the license. I'm pretty sure you get the license the day you apply for it. the 30 days refers to how long until it gets back to you after it gets signed by everyone (at the wedding) and submitted back to the county clerk.

Apologies if i misunderstood you...

For Maggie....

(Stop)

Oh yes, wait a minute Mister Postman

(Wait)

Wait Mister Postman

Please Mister Postman, look and see

(Oh yeah)

If there's a letter in your bag for Maggie

(Please, Please Mister Postman)

Why's it takin' such a long time

(Oh yeah)

For her to hear from that boy of hers

There must be some word today

From her boyfriend so far away

Please Mister Postman, look and see

If there's a letter, a letter for Maggie

So many days you passed her by

See the tears standin' in her eyes

You didn't stop to make Maggie feel better

By leavin' her a card or a letter

(C'mon deliver the letter, the sooner the better)

Mister Postman

He's gotta give it up today. Hold on Maggie he's comin your way!!!

Hi Ney, thingsare happening so fast. I'm happy for you and your family that she's out of AP and will soon be here.

About the EAD, they just want more of our money and they want it fast because why couldn't they just give a temporary EAD, valid for 90 days? Ugh, whatever me and my wishful thinking.

Maggie, you know you're gonna get that letter today, let us know and being that you're the last in the group to have your interview, you'll get it. As the saying goes "save the best for last"

Jenn, I love the whole getting married at home idea. That's what we would have done if we didn't go for the whole beach wedding thing. Timeline

It's been one week exactly since the interview and Mathew still doesn't have his visa. I got him to call DOS today and they said that a visa was issued, but there were no notes about a shipment. Seems kind of odd since just about everyone from Canada has their visa within like 3-4 days of the interview. Worries me a bit.

Maggie you may have said earlier, but do you have a backup plan??? Do you have someone that can get those papers and overnight them to you?
