When I married my husband we went to the locak JP. When my daughter married her husband I hired a wedding planner in Orlando (they are affordable and everywhere) and let her set up everything for me. Now I'm planning this one with absolutely no experience. I'm trying hard but this isn't as easy as it looks.

My daughter took my 2 1/5 year old granddaughter (Emily) out for story time today, so I took advantage of thier abscense and painted Emily's room. We went from pink and mint green to mesa taupe. My granddaughter has really enjoyed having me around and loves that I've painted the entire house until now. She is very upset with me for painting her room. Good thing her sister is only 3 months because she didn't seem to mind when I did her room.

I took care of the outside of the house today. Cutting the grass trimming the trees and palms. Pulling out weeds from around all my plants. Got a tan in a process So now I get to make her look even more white then she is when she comes Sunday haha. I also cleaned the 3 bedrooms,living room and bathroom. Just have one more room left to do tomorrow after work. Got the mopping done also besides the one room. So I did pretty good today. Just one room left and to wash some cloths and that's it. Can't wait to Sunday it's just so surreal after all these months. Last time I saw her was on July 28th 2009 when I left Poland.

Instead of having the two candles that you both use to light the center candle with together(two flames making one flame, like the two of you making one love, one marriage), you can do the unity sand. You would have two smaller vases with sand(can be different colored), and then you would both pour it into the bigger vase at the same time.

Since we`re having an outdoor wedding it works better and I just like the idea of having something that we can keep.

The way we will be doing it is that we will have sand already poured in the bottom that represents the love, trust, faith, and togetherness that makes our relationship strong. Then I will have my parents and his parents come and pour a little bit of sand from our respective jars to symbolize the two families. And then Mathew and I will pour the rest of the sand from our jars into the vase, mixing them together.

seb - 8 months?? WOW. I think you guys take the cake for longest without seeing each other in this group. The longest we went was 4.5 months and that was excruciating. I am doubly excited for Sunday now! Your reunion will be wonderful.

I just took a look at the forms for AOS and wow...just wow. Maybe I`m not recovered from all of the paperwork of the K-1 visa, but looking at AOS makes me wanna

I just went to go apply for marriage license & was told I have to make an appointment first, so I said ok. Next available appointment is May 6th; it takes 3 days to recieve it & I'm not sure how long it takes to get an appt get married in court. The church ceremony isn't looking good because no pastor wants to marry me without pre'marital counseling, which takes 3-6 months.. Sooo, hopefully I'm not screwed.

Kayla: I printed the papers for AOS as well and it's CRAZY!

Wow...our marriage certificates can be gotten the same day.

Why dont you call the county clerks office and tell them that you need a justice of the peace to come and marry you at a church. That`s what we`re doing, and we`re only paying the guy $50. His family is catholic and mine is christian so we didn`t even want to have to worry about offending someone.

Or see if you can find a non-denominational person in your area to do it.
