I also just finally got an approval for someone at my work to sublet my apartment..so ONE LESS WORRY GONE!! YAY!!!

One less worry, Maggie!!!Not too much longer and you`ll be able to say you can drop the worry of not being approved because we all know you`re going to be!

Mathew is a very unhappy camper this morning. I bought him Final Fantasy XIII for the PS3 and after he played about 6 hours total, the game froze. Well he just turned it off and we ate dinner. After dinner he started to work on school so I went to play and now the PS3 plays NOTHING. We googled it and apparently it`s been a problem with the old PS3`s and newer games. Sony was no help. All they could say was it`s out of warranty and that even though there have been countless of things said about the problems and countless calls that until thousands and thousands of people called in to them they wouldn`t acknowledge it. So he can either pay $150 to get it fixed and have it break again or he can pay $299 for a newer model that doesn`t have the problem. I have a feeling we`ll be going to best buy when he gets home from work.

But we DID get a start on our invitations last night. I put them all together now we just need to address them and drop them in the mail!

Okay, so it's morning, but I just want to go back to bed. I hate season changes, and what's worse is that I'm dealing with seasonal allergies now, and in a few weeks, I'll be dealing with my body going haywire over the atmosphere change when I go to Canada. I don't know why, but I always get sick within the first few days of going up there, then I'm fine... and then once I'm back in the States, it happens again. Weirdo body. Bleh.

Hi all! Sorry I haven't been around much the last 2 days...the work trip has been ridiculously busy. but now this morning i finally have some downtime before my flight home.

Krystle - you asked me if i was ready...mentally HELL YES! but in practical matters totally not. i come home from seattle tonight, have to work tomorrow and then this weekend is going to be all about preparing. have to continue to clean and i haven't figured out yet where he's putting his stuff! i know next week i will be so busy at work that i will not have time to do anything. so this weekend is my last chance. after that i just have to say, eff it. but i also need to figure out how many days i might be able to take off to help him adjust. did you take any days? i'm thinking we will have the weekend and then maybe i can swing a day or two off, or partial days or something...not sure.

Maggie - can't wait for your turn! it's coming so soon! so when do you travel?

The kids have changed plans on me and have decided to have a wedding ASAP (the first week she gets in). (Me beating myself over the head)

In the Iranian culture ice packs come after the wedding and I think this may be a big part of thier hurry. There isn't time to go to the Smoky Mountains now to have a waterfall wedding. I have been painting my daughters house and running my bottom off trying to put something unique together for this wedding everything has fallen on my lap due to the time issue. Came up with a carriage wedding in a downtown Memphis park, in front of the MS river. The wedding date April 9th, she'll be in DC on April 2nd and then Memphis the 3rd OMG. I haven't been sleeping I've been shopping on the Internet instead. I have been running my bum off trying to create a princess wedding for them with a cinderella carriage and all the fixings, helping my daughter who has a toddler and an infant, my son's place is not ready yet so he has not moved in, and I'm pulling my hair out right now as I sit here typing this. I need a stiff drink and a long nap.

Frenzy: I'm like that too when I travel. Hope you feel better.

Karen I didn't take any days off because I have a good schedule. I work 11:30-5:30, live 2 blocks away from work and he comes to my job on my break so I'm lucky. I'd advise you to take 1 day off and on the weekends, make the best of it mama. Save your days for after the marriage.

I've gotten her veil, tiara, garter, jewlery, personalized announcement magnets, and a cake topper (horse drawn carriage that lights up) from Ebay. I've gotten great things for a fraction of what it would cost me at any of the stores around here. I have the minister, photographer, and thier cinderella carriage booked. I have the cake ordered, and I am taking her to pick her dress and shoes when she gets here. I'm also taking her to choose her own flowers. My son is taking care of the tux and already has the wedding rings.

Is there anything else I'm missing or need that I can do before she comes? I've bought bubbles to blow in the air after they are married for that fantasy effect. I'm giving my mother-in-law a tiny sack of rice to put in the brides hair for fertility, and I would like my daughter to throw fairy dust on them for thier wishes to come true and a happily ever after. Kayla do you know something that I could use for fairy dust? Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated.

There's the option of fine mesh (very very small particles) mica or glitter... mineral makeup would do, in a pinch.

In fact, I used to have some mineral MAC glitter eyeshadow -- you can probably find samples on e-bay for around $4-5.

I like glitter for fairy dust. You could also mix the glitter in with some really fine sand to make a more dusty glittery effect.

Are you planning on doing any kind of unity candle ceremony? I know we all had this discussion before but I didn`t know what you would think about it. The unity sand ceremony would be really really lovely. It would symbolize their lives joining together(never having to be apart again), and it would be something they could keep.

I`m perfectly fine. His apartment is so tiny it only took about 30 seconds for me to know there was no one in here. I got a hold of Mathew and I feel better now. No worries.

I got my sand from hobby stores. I think it was like $3 a pound. If it`s easier to find just regular sand then you can color your own using water, sand, and food coloring. You just put the sand in a cup or bowl, put enough water just to cover the sand and then add food coloring and let it sit until you get the color you want.

Walmart should have some different sized vases in the craft aisle. That`s where we got ours.
