no...i have no idea what i'm going to do about the colors, i think i will most likely just use regular sand for both of us. since we'll be at the beach it will match. :) I know then you don't get the combining of colors in the final bottle, but for me still it's just the symbolic nature of the thing.

now, as far as colors in general...??? i don't have to pick much, just the color of the ties on my bamboo canopy and the color/type of my flowers...but i'm sort of up in the air about all of it...right now i'm leaning towards mango calla lillies for the bouquet (i thought maybe it would be simple and go well with the sun setting) and perhaps peach or mocha ties for the bamboo canopy (the canopy is ivory). oh and i have to decide whether to use bamboo chairs of the regular white chairs. though that's probably minor since there will only be 6 of them. :)

i know i know  it's just really hard for me to read all the posts about smoking and not say something. but i promise that's it. :innocent:

Aww I don't mind honestly! It's nice that you care and wish to help people..keep on keep on woman =)

okay going to get on my soapbox for a second...guys, PLEASE QUIT SMOKING! i'm sure you are all smart people and you understand what you are doing to your bodies and your wallets as well. i totally get that you have to be mentally ready to quit and i hope someday (soon!) each of you will get to that place. I was a regular smoker (pack a day, certain years more) for 11 years, from age 14 to age 25. I quit cold turkey and it SUCKED but it was one of the best things i have EVER done for myself. seriously. and if any of you ever decide to take that step i will be there to cheer you on and support you every step of the way. it is hard as hell but so so worth it.

Hey, it's people like you that set an example that we can quit once and for all. I think it's great you let it go, and I have no issue with you telling us the truth. We all know it is a horriable death trap. Me and hubby are the only ones in this family that smoke and we've talked about letting it go as soon as Najmeh annouces she got her visa. It will take her time to go back to Iran and then come here, by then we should be adapted to being smokeless, and maybe I'll be so busy with the wedding details that I won't have time to worry about it. Honestly, I'm even more upset now knowing they've added yet another chemical.

KJenkins made a great decision leaving when she did!

I just really, really don't feel like cleaning today....bleh. All I wanna do is take a nap and be lazy. But nooooo I gotta get the house all clean because I'm weird and think that the house has to be spotless whenever Mathew comes to visit.

Jenn I can imagine how you are feeling. Fuat will need your 100% support, because it is a huge step for him.

I prepared myself for moving to David and the best choice we made was to come to see my new home. For you and Fuat was difficult because of denials and he actually only can imagine where he is going. I think that it is easier for us, women, to move then to men. We are more adaptable.

It is not easy to leave your homeland and start your life far far away, but love is a miracle and love makes miracles and it changes all. In the name of love we can do everything and love deserves this. I know that I will have time when I will be sad and homesick, but my home is where is David and he is in the States, so my heart is with my love there.

I know that at the end everything will be like it has to be. (L)

Jenn we are in the same boat as you with Joanna. She never been outside of Poland besides one time and that was to Germany. She couldn't visit here because of no B-2 Visa. So she is leaving her three sisters, mother, and father to move here to be with me. We still don't know where we will end up living. I have to stay for 4 more years in the States then since we both have Polish/EU papers I don't know where we will end up living. We both want to be closer to our families which are in Europe but we don't know. I have a great job that I held for 4 years now. I'm about to recieve a raise and a deal with more time off starting April. I worked hard here and now I'm going to have more time off to be with Joanna. To be honest it makes me scared sometimes to think to move back to Europe since right now I make a pretty penny and don't know if I would be able to get that over there. In a few years I'm going to try to get a job at the America Embassy in Poland and start from there. If I get that position which is completely out of my field of work. It would make moving there easier. I just know for the next 4 years to work, work hard, and save. I want to be semi-retired in 10 years from now. It's just good to know that we will have options if we ever want to move back thanks to the EU.

You always have such a positive outlook on everything :) I need that when I am getting stressed. Thank you :)

Tonight, I have been going through old posts on this thread.. so many people on here in the beginning and now seems to be mostly just "us" :) Some people never came back to fill out timelines and you have to wonder what happened with them? Are they done? Are they still in limbo??

Found Karen's first post.. so excited when she had sent in her packet. Kayla's first post.. about 4 minutes before my first post :)

I can remember watching Karen and Kayla's profiles every day, because we all filed on the same day,and and had NOA1 on the same day.. so I would watch theirs in the hopes that if something happened with them that something would happen with me soon.

I had forgotten about how stressed out I got when my check wasn't cashed at the same time theirs was, forgotten that I was worried I might not have signed the form and the petition was being sent back to me. I had never been sooo happy to see $455 disappear from my bank account. Reading those old posts made me laugh.

Found Krystle's first post, and remembered that when I first read it I was thinking how much she looked like a friend of mine in Jamaica ( Whose name is ALSO Kristel :).. I never told you that did I Krystle?)

Karen, remember when I thought you were blonde and was so shocked when you put up a new picture and saw how dark your hair actually is?

Read the posts from Alex Barrow.. he was such a cheerleader for everyone.. and then he just disappeared! ALEX..where are you and what is happening??

What ever happened to the other Karen.. Texas Karen? Does anyone know?

Like I am sure most of you have, I pop into the other threads once in a while to see how "October", "November", "December" are doing... after reading many other threads I have to say that I truly feel this September group is pretty special. One minute we can be talking about visas.. the next it's weddings.. or ice packs.. or carpet glue.. babies.. then on to possums :) and whenever one of us has needed support, someone has been there to give it right away.

We have our own "mom" , a wedding planner ready to find dresses, etc. at the drop of the hat, when we needed "statistics" we had our own statistician ( Until she got blocked from the site for over use :) ) ... and we have a quit smoking support group when we finally decide to try to quit cold Turkey ( don't worry Fuat.. I will come no matter what the weather :) ) This group has turned into so much more than just visas.

It has been a really long journey for all of us, even though most of us got approved pretty quickly, and this part of it is almost over.... I am so glad that I got to go through it with all of you.

OK.. enough sappy stuff...

Kayla, how are those possums? :)

Awww, Jenn I remember how worried you were over your stuff not being signed and how relieved we all were when your check finally did get cashed.

The possums have not made an appearance tonight yet, but I'm sure they will. I walked over and looked outside earlier and saw a little mouse stuck in the snow on my back porch. And earlier there was a bunny.

My back porch must be like party central for wildlife. Kitty Poo is never bored.

There's a Jamaica commercial on TV right now. I hope Krystle is having a good time.

OMG, Jenn you are such a doll!!! I can't even begin to tell you how lucky I feel to have all of you on my side. Most people look at me as the weirdo for being the "mom" . They can't look at me as a person that is totaly in love with my family, they look at me as a weird old woman that is out of place here. My family is my life and I can't help but look after my family, and each of you have become a part of my "cyber" family. I look forward to going through each part of this process with my girls (you wonderful ladies)!!!

If you were here I'd give you a huge hug! God bless you!!! (L) Faut is a very lucky man to have you a his mate in life!!!!

Like I could be standing right in front of the door, pecking to scare it and it just stands there. I open the door(not smart) and close it real hard and it just looks at me.

Why can't it be the cute fuzzy critters that aren't afraid of people??

Jenn I read your post back there and I starting tearing up. This group is wonderful.. and I agree with everything you have said. We became our own little family through this process. Honestly, I think I would have lost my mind a few times if I wasn't able to have you all around supporting me.

THANKS EVERYONE! <hugs> We all need to get together after everything settles..and have a drink or..five.
