Missouri still has the regular ones...My boss drives the 40 miles down there because she HATES the FS ones now. So if you ever get to Kansas City you could pick up a few cartons LOL

Hmm.. you never know :) One of our parks is there.. Worlds of Fun. I may just have to ask if I can make a trip there for something.

I hope everyone has a good day today.. more snow for us. This is getting ridiculous

YES! That's why they are going out like that. It drives me crazy.. and I still think part of the reason they did this is so we would have to buy MORE of them. Not all states are doing this yet.. but if yours are fire safe it will have FSC above the barcode on the package.

If there's a way to get them without the FSC then I want to know WHERE. Maggie, I have never tried to roll my own and would probably screw it up somehow. But.. if you roll your own do they have a filter? I tried non-filtered once and just can't smoke those.

Oh yes, they still have a filter...and filter size depends on the type of tubes you buy. It's just like a regular cig except that you stuffed or "injected" the tobacco in it yourself.

I no longer feel sick or like my lungs are full/sore...and I don't cough up grossness. I noticed that when I smoked regular cigs after a few I'd just feel gross... Rollies I could probably smoke the can and never feel like I shouldn't be smoking (which could be bad ..lol)

I save a lot of money. Cig packs here range between 10-14$ for a pack (25 cigs in the pack). Pack would last me two days (more if I could restrain). I buy a can for 39$ and I have it for two weeks or longer (smoking the same amount)

Kenyth smokes Marlboro's..which I liked when I had them..but when he was here in Canada, he ended up rolling..and now he still rolls at home =)

You have a good day today too!! ... No snowing here..the last very days were extremely cold though.. now it's warming up again. I love it!

Now I've seen everything...

There was a huge crashing noise, that sounded like extremely loud and close thunder.. I looked outside and there was a ton of lighting and then the sky let loose with so much ice and snow that I couldn't see my car.. and it's only just outside my front door. Amazing....

Excuse me.. Mr. Weatherman.. if you hadn't noticed.. Virginia is south of the Mason-Dixon line, so technically we are supposed to be in the south. You know.. hot summers, mild winters.. no snow...

I can hear my mother's voice now.. "Why don't you have boots?"

Boots? Mom, I don't need boots.. I've lived here three years and never seen it snow more than a few flakes..

Ahh,, I should have let her buy me those boots when I was home for Christmas :)

I love thunder snow!!! When we had that awful snow storm right before Christmas it lightened a lot.

They've scraped our roads, but you can't tell it. Already back full of snow. We haven't had this kind of winter in about 13 years!!! I must say, I'm not impressed!

We've delayed coming to work until noon today, but I have a feeling they are going to call all of us and tell us not to come to work today. If that happens I am going to do something stupid and brave the roads anyway.

My home computer does NOT have a web cam.. and I always use my work laptop to see Fuat. I will brave the ice and snow to go get that computer if I have to :)

I should have just loaded the darn web cam on this computer.. but never bothered to do it, since the work laptop has the bigger, better screen.

Besides, if you got as much snow as me, good luck getting anywhere!

morning all, from blizzardy NYC! Well, it's not supposed to be true blizzard conditions until a little later, but it sure is snowy and windy! :) so so so glad krystle decided to leave a couple days early. it was a VERY smart decision!

okay going to get on my soapbox for a second...guys, PLEASE QUIT SMOKING! i'm sure you are all smart people and you understand what you are doing to your bodies and your wallets as well. i totally get that you have to be mentally ready to quit and i hope someday (soon!) each of you will get to that place. I was a regular smoker (pack a day, certain years more) for 11 years, from age 14 to age 25. I quit cold turkey and it SUCKED but it was one of the best things i have EVER done for myself. seriously. and if any of you ever decide to take that step i will be there to cheer you on and support you every step of the way. it is hard as hell but so so worth it.

okay, getting off the soapbox because i know that smokers hate that sh*t. :) but coming from the other side I just had to say it, since i care about all of you.

so kayla, you are going to do the unity sand ceremony? me too! i also found this "hand blessing" thing that i want to include.

it is pretty dead here at work today, everyone is working from except (except for me of course, the idiot who felt obligated to be here and who will now have to brave a real blizzard getting home!)

I just ordered my cake topper, and 100 little cellophane bags for my favors. I'm going to put skittles and jellybeans in the bags, tie it with cute ribbon, and put stickers that have our name and wedding date on them. I found the bags for $9 on ebay and 100 of the stickers on there is $13. So I'm pretty excited about that.

Have you thought about what colors you want to use for your sand ceremony Karen?

Awww I think that's such a cute idea for favors.

I told Mathew that I wanted to get pregnant for Christmas, so I'm crossing my fingers for that one. That would be the best christmas present he could give me.

Have you thought about what colors you want to use for your sand ceremony Karen?

no...i have no idea what i'm going to do about the colors, i think i will most likely just use regular sand for both of us. since we'll be at the beach it will match. :) I know then you don't get the combining of colors in the final bottle, but for me still it's just the symbolic nature of the thing.

now, as far as colors in general...??? i don't have to pick much, just the color of the ties on my bamboo canopy and the color/type of my flowers...but i'm sort of up in the air about all of it...right now i'm leaning towards mango calla lillies for the bouquet (i thought maybe it would be simple and go well with the sun setting) and perhaps peach or mocha ties for the bamboo canopy (the canopy is ivory). oh and i have to decide whether to use bamboo chairs of the regular white chairs. though that's probably minor since there will only be 6 of them. :)

And oh me oh my.. reformed smoker at their best!!!. lol jkjk paciencia y fe...

i know i know  it's just really hard for me to read all the posts about smoking and not say something. but i promise that's it. :innocent:

I think mango lilies would be awesome for your beach wedding. Calla lilies, orchids, roses, and dahlias all do really well in the sunlight. I would stay away from anything other than those just because other types of flowers could fade and wilt in the sunlight.

Well, got to work at 11:30a, for the 12:00pm start time we had decided on.. only to get a call at 11:35am saying we were going to stay closed all day. At least I was able to get my laptop and have my web cam. Now.. it's stopped snowing and the sun is out, but I am not making the 30 minute drive back.. I doubt they would ask us to, but I am home and staying home.

When I quit smoking, the first time, I quit cold turkey and it was incredibly hard. But I know I can do it, and I will do it again.. soon.. soon.. but not right now.

Flower for me will be cala lillies... they were my sisters favorite flower.

I am just in love with the unity sand idea and definitely want to do that..

Can you imagine if Krystle had not gone early. She would be leaving today or tomorrow wouldn't she? She might not have made it out.

When I talked to Fuat, this morning, he asked me if I could come on Tuesday or Wednesday instead of getting there on Friday. I would love to, but I can't throw everything in a bag and come early this time. I will be gone from work for 19 days as it is.. and will be getting back 3 weeks before opening day. Too much to do to get my Department ready before I leave and just can't add a few extra days. Wish I could.

He's really nervous.. not so much about the interview, but about coming here and leaving everything he's ever known. We had a long talk today, and it's going to cost me a fortune on my cell phone bill, but... if I could make him feel a little better then it will be worth it.

I try to imagine what it must be like for him, but I can't really... at least I've been outside my own country, been to Turkey, know what it would be like if I left here and moved there... he's doing all this totally blind and it has him scared, but I suppose that's normal.

12 days.. hold on 12 more days honey.. then the interview stress will be behind us and we can move on to the next stressful thing...

I wish he had friends who had come here and could tell him everything.. instead of hearing things from strangers. One person will tell him all good things.. another person will tell him all bad things.. and they don't know him, they don't know me.. but the only person we both know, who is from Turkey and actually lives in Richmond, is someone neither one of us really trust...so Fuat doesn't even want to talk to him about this.

I just keep telling him he has to trust me and that I would never, ever have him do something like this if it wouldn't be good for us, good for him, good for his family...

Trying to keep the stress level as low as possible for the next 12 days :)

If Krystle hadn't of left when she did I doubt she'd make it there for the interview. Stupid snow.

I'm like you Jenn, I really worry about Mathew. The US and Canada arent really all that different, but there are little things that he'll have to get used to down here. And he's a shy person and isn't all that confident about his english. He speaks absolute perfect english, but for some reason when he hears it, he thinks it's awful.

He's really excited about 2 things, and both of them are food related. One, we get free refills on drinks(you have to pay for them in Canada, or at least Quebec), and Two, Long John Silvers. The child loves Long Johns. One of these days I'm going to wake up and Mathew is going to weigh 500 pounds. Damn his super fast metabolism. He says he just likes to taste things and that why he's all like "FOOOOODDDD", but I think it's just because he's a man and men love food. LOL
