So the snow storm backfired on me!!! We got 13-16 inches, and our power, water, and phone is out!!! I could barely make it home on friday. I think I left work at 4:45 and it was 10:45 when I finally made it home. My Kia spectra is NOT made for snow driving!!!

But the worst news is that there's so many trees down and homes without power that we aren't estimated to have it back until sunday!!! How awful!!!!

SUNDAY?!!! Oh.. I hope you have it back soon. I am thankful I am sitting at my mother's, in Michigan, right now.. Of course, last year, they got such a bad snow storm I couldn't leave until five days after I was supposed to . NO STORMS THIS YEAR PLEASE!

Kjenkins.. have a great time with your honey!!!

Kayla I hope you have gas heat and water.

Nope, none of that. We had a kerosene heater, but it broke down last year and we forgot to get a new one. Mom and I stayed cuddled with Kitty Poo(my kitty) in the bed from Friday until Sunday, but we finally got her car off the hill Sunday to come to my papaws. We've been here since. It's made me pretty sick, though!!! Booh!

Hopefully I'll have good news from Montreal soon, though.

Hey,

So I checked our case status today and it says "On December 18, 2009, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283."

Then above where the little circles are, it's listed as "Post Decision Activity," which is past the Testing/Interview stage. Is it possible that they've skipped over that section? Or does everyone's do this?

Interview is done at the consulate stage, which you are now on your way to. From USCIS, they'll send your stuff to NVC, who will forward it on to the Consulate you provided in your application.

Grats on your NOA2. :)

This happens to everyone... once it is done at USCIS and NVC it'll close and go to the embassy and USCIS isn't really involved anymore. It's good that you didn't get an RFE's and interview at this stage.

Good luck and congrats!

Hey that's great! It looks like we are finally getting more September approvals out of CSC. As some people have already said, the interview stage is at the consulate. The one listed on USCIS web page is if they needed to call you in for an interview for some reason. I don't think it generally happens with K1's, but I have heard that it has.

Congrats on the NOA2 and it's nice to see some CSC people in this forum!!

hi everyone! I'm not sure what to do next. I received my NAO2 on Dec 16th. Yesterday I called the NVC and they said they don't have any information on my case, and today I called and the lady said I should allow for 2-4 weeks for anything to happen. I just want to make sure they've at least received it, and that its not lost in the mail somewhere. did you guys just keep calling or did they send you a letter? it seems like it should be there by now. What do they do with the case anyway, is it just administrative processing or can they have issues with you approval?

thanks

Kjenkins.. Hope you check in as soon as you can. I was not near a TV yesterday, but just turned it on and the first thing I hear is about the plan crash in Jamaica yesterday. My first thought was it COULDN'T POSSIBLY BE YOURS! The good news is that there were no fatalities... but still want to hear that you are ok.

The flight was going from Miami, but don't know if you had a direct flight or a connecting flight.

Let us know that you are there.. you are safe..and that you were not on that flight!!

ok sorry for being repetitive, but I just called the NVC again, and talked to another lady and she said that there is no way that it would be in the system yet. That it can take up to 90 days. that if my NAO2 was on the 16th its not possible for it to even be in the system. I'm so confused, cause its not what I see on everyone else time lines. Can someone please tell me how their conversation went with the NVC, or did you wait for a paper in the mail, or am I just confused about something?
