Waiting for interview time frame

I just mailed DS 230 package back to NVC for my parents. Let's assume that no extra request of evidence is needed, so how long will my parents receive the interview date? Thank you so much in advance.

There is no exact timeline for getting a interview date. You need to allow about 10 days for the case to be complete at NVC and then depending on the Embassy/Consulate you could get an appointment date soon after the case is complete at NVC. I would think you are looking at an interview date in Oct/Nov

I called NVC today and they received my packages on 9/2/09 but with my mother's case automatic system, it stated some document is missing and with my father's just said NVC has received package. When I talked to the live operator, he can not even tell me more than what the automatic system did. Any idea like this type of situation? Thank you again.

Just to let you know that Tayrivers is away for a few days.

But I might be able to help. We called the NVC yesterday and the automated system told us that we had documents missing.

I spoke to Tayrivers and she said that it could be a false RFE that has been generated. This happened in her case.

My daughter called the NVC and this was exactly the situation. The NVC computer had generated a letter even though all the correct information had been inputted.

My daughter was told to ignore the letter when it arrives as it was simply to ask for an agent to be nominated, even though we has just printed off the cover sheets for the DS-230!

I do not know if this is what has happened in your particular situation but be aware that it can happen.

I just called and the AVS system is still the same. I talked to the operator and she told me it's maybe a mistake so I can just go ahead and ignore the notice. I guess it's just a waiting game now. It's so hard to be patient!!!

Can i sign the first part of Ds230 instead of my parents since they assign me to be to be their agent? Any replay with be a big help, Thanks NEla

I received 2 e-mails today about my parents' cases. It's about the supplemental information sheet needs to list all traveling beneficiaries and also need to be signed by the principal applicant. I included the supplemental info sheet with my DS 230 package but it was not signed nor included the travling beneficiary. At least I heard something, so it's a good sign. How about your case, Richard?

Well we have heard nothing further. I check the automated service at least 6 times a day! We move out of our house next week and into temporary accomodation so I hope that our interview is not too far away! This has been such a crazy summer that you just cannot guess or estimate how long it may be. I just hope and pray we all get good news soon.

I mailed the DS230 for my mom on 08/25/2009.Received a replied email from NVC Sept 11 '09 stating that they received all the original and photocopies of the documents that they asked. Along with it ,is the appoinment date of my Mom's interview in Manila US Embassy on OCt 8,2009.

Nope you cant,your parents should be the one to sign the DS 230. I was the agent for my mom too just to let you know. She had her interview in the embassy already.

My parents cases FINALLY were completed on Sept 30th. YEAH!!!!!!!!
