I got this email from someone I thought was my friend.

is this what most americans think about muslims?

I didnt know if I should be pissed or laugh.

This is a true story and the author, Rick Mathes, is a well-known leader

in prison ministry. The man who walks with God always gets to his

destination. . If you have a pulse you have a purpose.

The Muslim religion is the fastest growing religion per capita in the

United States , especially in the minority races!!!

Last mon th I attended my annual training session that's required

for maintaining my state prison security clearance. During the training

session there was a presentation by three speakers representing the Roman

Catholic, Protestant and Muslim faiths, who explained each of their

beliefs.

I was particularly interested in what the Islamic Imam had to say. The

Imam gave a great presentation of the basics of Islam, complete with a

video.

After the presentations, time was provided for questions and answers.

When it was my turn, I directed my question to the Imam and asked:

'Please, correct me if I'm wrong, but I understand that most Imams and

clerics of Islam have declared a holy jihad [Holy war] against the

infidels of the world and, that by killing an infidel, (which is a command

to all Muslims) they are assured of a plac e in heaven. If that's the

case, can you give me the definition of an infidel?'

There was no disagreement with my statements and, without hesitation, he

replied, 'Non-believers! '

I responded, 'So, let me make sure I have this straight. All followers of

Allah have been commanded to kill everyone who is not of your faith so

they can have a place in heaven. Is that correct?'

The expression on his face changed from one of authority and command to that of a little boy who had just been caught with his hand in the cookie

jar.' He sheepishly replied, 'Yes.'

I then stated, 'Well, sir, I have a real problem trying to imagine Pope

John Paul commanding all Catholics to kill those of your faith or Dr.

Stanley ordering all Protestants to do the same in order to guarantee them

a place in heaven!'

The Imam was speechless!

I continued, 'I also have a problem with being your friend when you and

your brother clerics are telling your followers to kill me!

Let me ask you a question: Would you rather have your Allah, who tells

you to kill me in order for you to go to heaven, or my Jesus who tells me

to love you because I am going to heaven and He wants you to be there with

me?'

You could have heard a pin drop as the Imam hung his head in shame..

Needless to say, the organizers20and/ or promoters of the Diversification

training seminar were not happy with my way of dealing with the Islamic

Imam, and exposing the truth about the Muslims' beliefs.

In twenty years there will be enough Muslim voters in the U.S. to elect

the President!

I think everyone in the U.S.. should be required to read this, but with

ACLU, there is no way this will be widely publicized, unless each of us

send it on! This is your chance to make a difference.. .

FOR GODS' SAKE! PLEASE SEND THIS ON!

God doesn't give you the people you want, He gives you the people you

NEED. To help you, to hurt you, to leave you, to love you and to make you

into the person you were meant to be.

I don't know you or your "friend", but all I can say is WOW. People just keep getting more and more ignorant, believing everything they read without bothering to do research for themselves. It's a shame, and personally I find nothing more revolting than racism and prejudice.

Maybe this is a way of God showing you who your real friends are... :star:

I wish you all the best in your journey!

If I were you I'd reply with the link to snopes which clearly states that those questions weren't asked and that the person answering the questions was not an imam but an inmate. lol. Then I'd cease being friends with this person since why on earth would they send you such a thing? They're obviously ignorant!

Every time I get an email like that, I respond to every person it was sent to when it was sent to me and I correct every wrong part of it! I do so in a very polite and easy going way and give them gentle reminders that it is not ok to spread these things not knowing if they are true or not and that they need to have research to back up the lies that they are sending. It ruffles my feathers in a major way!!!

I can understand what you are feeling about that email. I actually lost what I thought was a really good friend because of emails like that one. My friend would send out emails daily like the one you got and finally I hit replied to all and sent out an email that completely disputed everything he had forward to me. He actually got upset with me because I made sure that ALL his email friends read what I had to say about the racist remarks he was passing along.

Needless to say, that is one person I don't get emails from anymore.

Nice friend... I hate these kind of emails, no matter what the topic is.

Snopes + Reply all= no more ignorant junk/chain emails

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

That is laughable. There is no way that any imam would make that statement. Islam does not say to kill all non-Muslims. If that were true, and people really believed that, there are enough Muslims in the world that they would have killed off everyone by now. This is nothing more than propaganda. Muslims don't need to spread by the sword. Their fertility rate alone is what is taking over the world  Example, my husband's brother is a father to 16 children and still going!

Posted (edited)

I just can't see how it is true, otherwise, there would have been, and continue to be, worldwide slaughters of all "infidels"

that come into any contact with Muslims.

We see that Muslims and people of other faiths can cohabitate beautifully.

It is only the few extremists that take that view seriously and follow through with their very

twisted "UNGOD LIKE" measures.

I don't like chain mails personally no matter the kind. As for the content of this email snopes hits the head on the nail thankfully. I can't tell you what to do about your friend but I've had friends like this and I lost a lot of energy trying to correct them or enlighten them. It's when they persist with this behavior that our friendship ends.

The sad thing about this person is I always considered him a very kind and giving man. He is very active in his church and does so much for his community.
