Time for NVC to receive NOA2

Hello my friends and good morning to you all.

I have a question. My I-129F was approved on August 21. I received the hard copy on the mail this past Saturday (August 29). As of today, September 1, NVC still doesn't have my case in their system.

Should I worry? Am I still between normal processing time? Is 2 weeks the average time for them to receive my case as VJ's K1 flowchart says?

NVC does not appear to place K-1 cases in their auto- system (they just process it and forward to the embassy)

Talk to a person if you must know the status - but usually, they will say "it's being processed"

I did my friend. Both the human and the auto system. But the human says that they will receive it "between 30 and 90 days". Of course, I don't buy that. hehe..... But still if I can only get our case # I can forward it to the embassy as they told me in their email that I could.

I'll just keep trying 100 times per day if I need to.

I recently had a wait time of about 3 weeks from the date of NOA2 to the date of a letter from the NVC indicating (incorrectly, as it turned out) that the file would be sent to the USE in one week. During that 3 week period, and even after, there was nothing about the file posted on the NVC web site. Good luck!

Did u have your eac number from uscis ??

I gave them this and our names and birth dates - we were in there system and got our number ( nvc )

but all they will say is processing

today the guy said "is being prepared for transferring to embassy " so am like - is it ?? is this like a clue ?? lol lol

I hate this - is worst then nothing before

I do have the receipt number EAC - XX-XXX-XXXXX. But the problem is not that is still being processed, is that it is not even in the system yet. Maybe they receive those files in groups and mine made it to the beginning of the next group after being approved. We'll see.

Our NOA 2 was approved on the 25th, but I did not receive the notice until the 31st. I thought that our case would also be in the system but it was not.

So I called this morning and spoke with an operator who told me that they had the notice, but were in the process of entering it into the system.

You might try that route.

Hi Dave. I tried that already but the answer is the typical one. "It is not in the system. It usually takes 30 to 90 days for them to receive them". Of course I don't believe that. Anyway....I'll just keep trying and trying until they get tired of me. hehehe.

NVC assigned case no. on 9/1/2009 for my CR-1 case.

No need to worry, most likely your fiancee will have the packet from the Embassy before you hear anything from NVC lol. Best thing you can do is try to prepare all the documents you will need for the interview because your wait time is almost over. Best of Luck.

I guess I was worried for nothing. I called NVC this morning and a very nice lady told me that the documents were sent to the embassy yesterday.

At least that is another step done.

Yes...and your long journey is coming to an end finally. Remember....you are our hero. I can't wait for when you say here that your SO got the visa. That would be super great.
