hello, yes they want the report of your most recent 3 years tax return, it is required as if you read it thru the instructions, so you dont want to mess with them:) i dont think the most recent one will be enough, im sorry, you need to prepare exactly like what they want.

The wait would be unbearable but it'll be worth it. It strengthens the love, it attaches you even more to each other, it shows how your man would do whatever it takes to be with you, that he will never give up on you because he LOVES you!! All the waits, stresses, tears, heartaches, all the miserable feelings you feel along the way will be paid off once you get what you've been hoping for...oh and WITHOUT PRAYERS? will be like trying to start a fire with water, JUST WON'T WORK!

May, I ask where you are reading this? I am reading the I864 and under the instructions number 25 Federal Tax Income it states: You must provide either an IRS transcript or a photocopyfrom your own records of your Federal individual income taxreturn for the most recent tax year. If you believe additionalreturns may help you to establish your ability to maintainsufficient income, you may submit transcripts or photocopies of your Federal individual income tax returns for the three most recent years.

Am i missreading this? because to me it sounds like i only need to submit my most recent. Thanks

Hi, when I first sent my doc, I sent 2 yeas off tax returns. After 2 months they sent and asked for certain parts off our tax returns. Another 2 months and then they sent a letter saying if I did not send what they had asked for my case will be cloesd!!!!! So I printed out 3 years off tax returns and sent all off everything they will ever have to ask for, I mean about 40-50 pages off tax returns! Even asked the person who did our tax for W2s. Two weeks after I got my work permit and travil doc in the mail. So my thoughts to you just send as much as possable. Hope I helped.

I havew been reading on this forum about people sending the last 3 years of tax returns...Is this required? or is just the most recent sufficent enough?

I think you'll be fine with the most recent but if if you have the last three years might as well send em. Certainly can't hurt anything. Good luck.

I called the IRS this morning and ordered the last years of tax transcipts. Should be here in a couple of weeks or less. This is easier than all of the last three years copies. Besides, it just one item to prevent bad karma at the interview.

For the AOS you send the most recent tax return and report the gross income from the previous two. You do not have to send 3 years tax returns. USCIS has the option to ask for copies of these at your interview but they usually do not.
