I went to my biometrics appointment last thursday at 10:00 am August 27, Everything went smoothly i thought it was going to take forever... i got there at 9:45 they called my number at 9:50-9:55 Took my fingerprints and picture. the guy that did my fingerprints and pic was so nice and made me feel comfortable. When you go don't forget to bring your ID and the letter for the biometrics smile.gif

I was heading home around 10:05. He told me "we'll send your work card in the mail" but he never said anything about my advance parole? I'm confused do you guys know if i get the advance parole with the work permit?

I told him i didn't know what to write in the last part in the form he gave me where it says "benefits" and it gives you all this forms on there. like the 400 for citizenship, i-765 and other ones.. i didn't know if he had to fill that out or me, he said he'll get it and not to worry about it... Was i suppose to tell him that I'm applying for advance parole hahahaha I'm freaking out because i need to go home in december. Thank you for answering!

I had my biometrics appt.about 3 weeks ago and we are still waiting for the work permit to come through along with advance parole. The advance parole is an automated benefit I believe but we did fill out the form and sent it with our AOS forms. We are expecting an interview date soon too!

Advance Paroles are processed seperately/ Don't worry. You'll Receive your EAD and AP seperately in mail. EAD will be a card and AP will be two Identical Forms. When you plan to travel, the Immigration officer at port of exit will retain one copy of AP and return the second one with a stamp. I think you should be receiving your EAD & AP in a months time. Should be less. Should you not receive your EAD card within 90 days, get an infopass and request for an Interim EAD which you are entitled to. Good Luck!
