I tried ordering a coffee at a Starbuck's here once. The person couldn't remember my order. It wasn't particularly long or complicated (grande iced coffee with skim milk and sugar, IIRC).

I try to support the local chain of coffee shops but unfortunately their coffee is utterly disgusting and always has grounds in it. Maybe their other coffees are better—I rarely order anything but the House Brew. Their other beverages are great, their food is great, but the coffee is horrid. Kind of a failing in a coffee shop.

So mostly I drink coffee brewed at home in our coffeemaker, but when I'm running late, I stop at Dunkin' Donuts. Even though the line is always hellishly long. Despite its proximity to Satellite (local coffee shop chain) and Starbuck's.

I dont drink coffee. I dont do starbucks. I also agree it is kinda a Yuppe trend to have your starbucks and a laptop computer surfing the net while drinking your latte.

I wonder what the ave. yearly cost of that is. how much people spend on starbucks a year..

I was dying to go to starbucks on the trip to visit Andy last June but he kept me as far away from it as possible because of the expense lol! I'll go one day. I've always seen starbucks as like tourist coffee haven.

Love hurts

When you live an ocean away

When you change your sleep schedule to catch a few more moments

When you really need to be held and you have to imagine whilst your partner describes it

When you constantly refresh the USCIS website to see if you're getting any closer

Love Loves

When it repays you with the love of your life

When God finally answered your biggest prayer

When you can live life again in the real world but still have that eternal connection

When you wake up for to the beginning of the rest of your life with the person you fought so hard for

When you love somebody that much

You'll do anything

I guess it would depend on if you recognize people's lifestyles. I have already been *pardoned* for my liking the coffee  , thus my occasional visit, but as your statement implies above... I have an example.

My husband is away most weekdays during the month. This means he stays in hotels about 20 days a month. Kinda boring right? A change of scenery, where he can get some work done that is open LATE = a place like starbucks. Who is to say that many of the people there are just there to be "out" vs. trying to appear an image. I guess there would be a % either way, but had to defend the hubster who is probably doing that right now somewhere in MO :luv:
