wow, good to see she apologized and you guys got it sorted out :thumbs:

My husband (K3) went to apply a few days ago and the lady told him that he needed to call DHS and she couldnt help him ect ect ..he was persistant...she called over another clerk(thank god) who took over and started typing on her computer and poof! SS# :D

Like someone else said... I dont mind people who are still learning or just plain dont know, but ask for verification from a sup, dont just make up your own reg's!

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive,and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

When my wife applied at a small local office she was also denied.We went to the main office in a large city and was issued one the same day. She had a stamp from JFK poe saying she was able to work.It seems larger the office the more on the ball they are. I also agree that with washington based health care could put us in the same problem as dealing with a backwater SS office. Denied,Denied,Denied by a low level employee who is just waiting for their next break to start.
