i think i can help u out better ...

its very clear like when u entered in the united states did they give u I-94 card with work authorization ?

if yes then be happy u can work ...

as the people who come here and get the I-94 on the airport are allowed to work even if there I-94 expires and they have applied for

EAD even then there status for work is legal..

go out and find some job.

best of luck ..!!

WRONG!!!! This stamp is completely and totally worthless without another form of work visa for a K-1. K-1 is NOT a work visa and does not authorize a holder to work without an EAD

thanks everybody.. but how about that red stamp on my passport ' Employment authorised ' ?

FIle your AOS and wait the 60-90 days and save yourself a lot of trouble. Why put yourself at risk? You havebeen giving good advise yet you comtinue to want to fo what you want. you also need to have a Social security card to be able to work.

Why is it that the only one who can stop the crying is the one who started it in the first place?

It is misleading. K1s have to be put in a category so that the social security office will give them a number. In some states, it is needed to get married at all. The work authorized stamp just makes that clear. If they just made a special category that would clear things up, but like just about everything else, we get stuck with multi purpose forms that don't QUITE apply to our situation.

You could apply for work authorization, but you'd barely get it before your status ran out, and then you'd have to stop again. better to wait for EAD filed with AOS.

K-1:

January 28, 2009: NOA1

June 4, 2009: Interview - APPROVED!!!

October 11, 2009: Wedding

AOS:

December 23, 2009: NOA1!

January 22, 2010: Bogus RFE corrected through congressional inquiry "EAD waiting on biometrics only" Read about it here.

March 15, 2010: AOS interview - RFE for I-693 vaccination supplement - CS signed part 6!

March 27, 2010: Green Card recieved

ROC:

March 1, 2012: Mailed ROC package

March 7, 2012: Tracking says "notice left"...after a phone call to post office.

Completely meaningless. That stamp is valid WITH another work visa, NOT for a K-1. The ruling document is the I-9 foirm. That stamp is accepted IN CONJUNCTION with another form of work visa. That stamp is a waste of red ink. They gave one to our son in July (K-2 to follow) and he is not even eligible for an SSN until he gets an EAD (K-2s must have an EAD or greeen card before they can get an SSN)

The folks at JFK seem to have an abundance of red ink and like to stamp the I-94s. It does no harm but misleads a lot of people. Check out the I-9 form required for all employment, you will see you do not have the necessary documents

I'm thinking to give math lessons private tutoring is that okay? and thinking about sewing clothes repair clothes.

No it is not ok - you need your EAD. And asking how to break the law is against the terms of service. #######, reported.

I never asked a question for breaking the LAW!!! i just asked i am thinking to do it!!! where's your proof you can browse out from my words, i'm here for help i'm sure you've been through this stressfull days ,too. i'm hundred precent sure everybody had this situation.

so do you still think you came out from the airport and get the job and get informed about what questions ask on the forum or not ? well, if you did then let's realise that not everybody can't be perfect .. :innocent: to know what to ask here and what not to ask..

No, I was not in that situation. Ever. Why? Because I did my research beforehand. And because i came here on a CR-1 working authorized upon entry visa.

Well, you should feel lucky then that's why you don't ever have to understand k-1 visa situations with what stress some have to deal with.

you did your research forehead but have you have to ask somebody who's been in your situation? Because some members in this visajourney.com gave those answers where i would never find out even, if i read tons of articles or regulations.

Please do. I already reported you for attempting to gain advise on circumventing immigration law, once you were told what you were planning was illegal. ;)

The answer is simple... NO YOU CANNOT LEGALLY WORK FOR MONEY UNTIL YOU GET YOUR AUTHORIZED EAD. Story over. Can't work in a cafe. Can't work in a restaurant. Can't work tutoring. Can't work in a train, plane, crane, drain, frame, lane, membrane, or anywhere else.

moving right along
