And it looks like K visas are still being scheduled for September. It's weird that the NVC was out of Sept. appointments for IR1/CR1 visas almost a month ago, yet they are still scheduling September for non immigrant visas. How they run that consulate is truly a mystery!

Yep, we're still waiting. I mean we've been waiting since our case closed at NVC on JUNE 4TH. :ranting: I called yesterday and they just said "oh, call back on September 16th". Yeah, like it's going to be any different then.

Mind you, we're on an IR1 so that's a little different to the K1 folks.

I just can't imagine what the hold-up is. And I sure hope we get more than three week's notice!!

Steve, I actually admire you

It's been almost 3 weeks since my case was completed and I am already about to stage a protest outside the MTL consulate ;) put up a tent, bring my camping gear and posters and wait until they interview me :D

And honestly, if I lived in MTL I would walk up to the consulate one morning to find out how many CR/IR they are interviewing and when these people had their cases completed...it could be fieldwork for the extension of MAST theory ;)

Thanks mikey. As has been said before, it's the not knowing that's a pain. I mean, we can't make any moving plans, I keep putting off taking a vacation, and we're just stuck in limbo land hoping that our timeline vaguely resembles the ones that have gone before us.

Well, all we can do is wait and wait and wait. Maybe I'll join you for some camping out in front of the consulate.

And by 'completed/closed at NVC' do you mean when they sent my stuff on to Montreal?

Thanks :)

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh! That's the sound of the anticipation I'm feeling right now for September 15-16! I would assume the fiance visa crowd are able to get quicker dates because they aren't scrutinized quite as much as us CR/IR-1 applicants since we're essentially receiving an immigration benefit right then and there as opposed to receiving a non-immigrant visa with intent to immigrate. They aren't technically activating their visa and adjusting their status at the same time at a POE like we are, so there are a few differences that to me do make sense why us CR/IR-1 people are still waiting.

Still doesn't satisfy me like some beef-on-weck and loganberry drink would about 15 minutes after becoming a LPR at the Buffalo POE ;)

hehe...DOS hon, can give you if you have an interview..thats all they can do, can't schedule it or answer questions really, you would have to email MTL about that. The closed at NVC is for the CR1 crowd, cuz once its done there NVC schedules interviews for the CR1's with MTL
