I wish you luck as red flags are flying having a second petition in such a short time.

Hope the petitioner is younger than you.

I think your wife really needs to know exactly what they want. Are they just asking for clarification? Do they really not know why you had a case open?(doubtful).

I would hope/think that she could call and find out what they need. If they are just questioning, she can tell them in writing that you had a past k1 visa petition filed on your behalf but according to USCIS, it expired.(since the time given on the status has passed)

"If you do not contact us at 1-800-375-5283 within 180 days from October 15, 2008, this document will be destroyed and you will need to file a new application with fee.)"

It looks like your first K1 had an RFE that was never answered..thats my guess based on the status online.

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

They created an A number for you when you filed that first petition (that's what it looks like). You need to contact USCIS and find out what that number is. They will not generate a new one. The A number you get, is yours for life (like a social security number). Even though they said that your petition will be cancelled and returned, they obviously have you in the system. So they probably want a clarification from her. She should just tell them that you have cancelled the last petition and are filing a new one.

They asked about age, because a woman that is significantly older than the moroccan beneficiary, is a "red flag" for the CO's in Morocco which tend to be very hard on everyone. Since this is a second petition, it's an additional "red flag". Although, some people have a million red flags and nothing happens to them.

Oh, they could also file an A number if you tried to come here before and something happened and they denied you entry. They might also create one if you came here before on a different type of visa.

That pretty much explains it!

Quite a few petitions in Morroco where the female petitioner is older than the male beneficiary end up denied or being put in AR.
