Congrats to everybody!

I'm in Ireland at the moment, spending my last full day with my husband. I know I don't need to tell all of you how that feels....and I know that I should be grateful for being able to spend some time with him.

I found out that the package made it to the attorney - despite the fact that all he has to do is sign it and send it out, it's been sitting on his desk. So while all of you mailed your stuff off and are waiting for an interview, I'm waiting on something I could have done myself. I get so upset, because the attorney can't possibly understand how very important each missed day is. When I get home, I'm calling him. If he doesn't move, I want my stuff back, and I'll just mail it myself.

For those of you wondering, we used an attorney because we're going to have problems due to an old crime.

Today is our 1-year anniversary. We should be celebrating with eyes glittering with happiness, not tears of separation.

I just keep praying for strength, and the understanding that God knows when the time is right for success. My hurrying through NVC won't make a difference if it's not in His time, right? Just gotta have faith that it'll happen when it's time to happen.

Julie

hi miss julie! been missing you  i am glad you got to spend time with the hubby. i know today is bittersweet. soon, it will be nothing but sweet. i hope you will soon light a fire under the attorney's ####### to get off of his do-nothing and do something. after all, that is why you are paying him. not to just have documents sitting on his desk :ranting:

Give Generously, Live Fully, Laugh Often, Love Completely...AND PRAY ALWAYS!!!

Hey there,

You are right in that no matter how much we try it won't happen until it's in HIS will. I am glad you got to spend time with your husband. I hope the attorney does his job right for you. Just be happy that you got this little break!

Best wishes on your first anniversary, Julie.

When I said goodbye to mine two months ago, I told him to remember how much parting hurts when we are someday living together again and getting on each other's nerves - as sometimes happens between husbands and wives. I doubt many of us who go through all of this immigration stuff get complacent too quickly once it's all said and done.

Good luck getting that attorney to move. Wonder if he has a clue how difficult this process is for those involved - or do they even care - I doubt it.

Hope you had a safe trip home.
