how long should we get notice from NVC after giving emails?ours taking so long....we haven't heard any from NVC yet

From lookin at some recent timelines it looks like NVC is getting bogged down by all the recent approvals... From what I can see it is like 10 - 15 days to get NVC#...

14 days on the front end from NOA2 to NVCcase #

From there the petitioners stuff (AOS fee bill, payment, acceptance of AOS package) is about 14-18 days

The benificerary stuff (sned in 3032, acceptance of 3032, bill for IV, payment of IV, and acceptance of 230) is taking about 21-28 days

So total NVC (if you keep up with your case online and through the AVR, keep checking the website for generation of the bills, have ALL your paperwork ready and documents ready to go, and file your e-mail addressed and NO RFE's (in other words, learn the shortcuts available on this site) the total time is around 36 - 45 days...

Of course some people are taking longer... some shorter... But keep on top of your case by checking regularly and most importantly HAVE YOUR PAPERWORK READY!!!!

Best of luck to everyone!

06/14/2003 - Married Savona Italy

Hello:

Quick question, the IV bill shows paid now! However the document cover sheet is not displaying correctly. The bardcode at the bottom of the page is half cut off and even the cover sheet is missing words as in instead of displaying, "Failure to return this cover sheet with the documents...." it displays, "Failur to return this cover sheet with the docu delay in processing".

Should I send it in "as is"? I tried accessing from different browsers and even saved and tried to open with different PDF programs but it doesnt display properly.

Any suggestions?

HMMMM strange... Have you tried to save it, then go to print preview and reduce the size to like 75% ??? Just a suggestion.... Or without saving it, when you click on print this page, try to see if you can reduce it?

I tried it....still displays the same. I dont even know how to explain to NVC call agent

Can you change any settings on your computer??? Otherwise, I might suggest printing what you have, and creating a barcode (there are instructions on VJ) and taping that to the top of the page???

I called NVC and was told that it could be a problem with their website and that I should check again tomorrow and it its still same, I should call NVC again.

The IV bill will be generated after they accept the DS3032, infact for my case, i sent the AOS and IV pack together, because the status of the AOS bill show paid long time after I actually paid online...

FYI, my hubby rang today regarding our ds3032 which I had emailed, and they confirmed they "have it, but it's still in line as there are other emails before it in line"

I guess this is a good thing, at least they confirmed they have it.

So far, so good....

It's getting so close to our one year wedding anniversary now I'm starting to lose hope if getting there by then...

Even though I'm grateful we are getting closer to the end, the distance is really starting to take it's toll on us.

:(

I know the distance is really tough- especially with your one year anni coming up- I was lucky I got to fly back to Pakistan to be with my husband on ours. At least they confirmed with you over the phone that they have it- I just spoke to NVC and they are still saying they need time to process emails and they have not accepted mine yet...

I guess all of us just have to hang in there for a while longer...

Its most likely in their mail room, the operators only see what is in their computer. Im sure it is there.

Did you also email a copy of the DS-3032 form?

Truly happy!!!

New life, new adventures, and a new attitude.

They would not have the paper form yet. It is probably sitting in the mailroom right at this moment. Give it a few more days.

Will the AVR record change once they process the AOS documents? So far it still mentions about the IV fee.

I'm in your boat--I sent my DS-3032 by e-mail last Monday, and still nothing. I could send the paper form via snail mail, but frankly I don't think it'll go any faster. Previously, e-mail submissions were as fast (if not faster.)

I'll call again today and pester them.

Christeen,

Thank you for taking the time to detail the current approximate wait times for various stages of NVC processing. These are very valuable to us as we are currently in the NVC process, and we'll use these times you've supplied to help us set expectations, and to minimize the amount of stress and worry that we experience.
