Thanks everybody!

Any idea why both invoices were available for payment at once?

I thought, from looking at timelines, that the IV bill wasn't available for payment until after the I-864 was filed.

I'm confused....

Means they accepted the Agent form from the beneficiary! That produces the IV bill from what Ive seen.

Somebody correct me if Im wrong.

Truly happy!!!

New life, new adventures, and a new attitude.

Yea, the IV bill is only generated once they accept the choice of Agent form

Okay, I didn't submit a choice of agent form, because we have used an attorney. He submitted a G-28 along with our I-130, so I'd imagine that got scanned in and accepted as our agent by default.

I'm sorry for being such a downer. :crying:

Bern, just giving you your daily :bonk: to see if it might bring a smile back to your face.

Another September NVC case here. Received NOA2 dated Sept. 3. Looks like it might get a little crowded at NVC with all the approvals lately. Those NVC folks will be working pretty hard this month!

Haha, thank you so much. I'm alright now, I got out and did some non-immigration related stuff. It was a good day :D

And does anyone know if you NEED a letter of employment? Or if 6 months worth of pay stubs will do?

Hey Bern, 6 months is good Hon, especially if you have his last paycheck stub. I think the letter is needed, but if your ready to send it in send without it, see what happens, but in meanwhile, have him keep trying!!! but send it anyways.

Glad you had a good day!!

Donna, do they need the NVC Case # to do that? I love your happy photos. I swear, your husband would make a great Viking character in my novel. :D

I know the following is off topic, and I apologize, but I'm beyond annoyed today. We filed taxes married filing jointly back in MARCH. I didn't file electronically and when the refund check came in, it was made payable to both of us. The bank won't cash it or deposit it without my husband there, so I had to send it back and request a new check made payable solely to me (sent a letter signed by both of us requesting this). I sent that letter on July 7th. Just today, TWO MONTHS LATER, I got a letter addressed to both of us stating that a replacement check will be reissued by October 5th. The letter stated that I should have my husband endorse the check and then I would be able to deposit it. WHAT dont they understand about MY BANK WON'T ALLOW THAT? :crying: Jeez, it's $1500 of my own money..... does anybody think a government official could help? Should I contact a Senator or Congressman?

This is seriously ticking me off. I'm getting ready to list furniture for sale because I will have no money to buy oil (tank is 1/4 full) in November. I was counting on this tax refund...

What do you think would happen if I owed THEM money for the bulk of a year.....

Moral of the story for my fellow VJers.... if your foreign spouse is not on your accounts, file electronically.

Letter of Employment is not required, but everything helps. 6 months of paycheck stubs seems like reasonable evidence. I got a letter of employment within a day when I went into the HR manager where I work. My employers were happy to provide that, and asked for my input on editing it when they gave it to me. I asked them to add my middle initial to it, and the deed was done. They shouldn't be required to provide salary information, just that you are employed, for how long, and your position there. Talk to HR, that's what they are there for.

It takes 8 months for us to see each other back again since we started our visa process, and now here we are reunited back again and happy together.

Well, here we are... both invoices say PAID and we've come to a dead halt because we don't have Police Clearance Certificates yet. They were ordered yonkers ago, but alas, none yet.

hey Julie - apparently the Aussie doctor does not need my NVC case number. they dont ask for it... weird huh? but then again, the Aussie doctor gives me back all my medical info to take with me to my appointment at the Consulate (otherwise known as the INTERVIEW eeee!)

hey guys, i posted a new thread about this but you might be able to help me too...

i have a few niggling questions and one in particular is about the initial stuff, like the online payments and timing of sending forms etc.

when you pay online, can you get the barcode from the online system to stick on the forms?

is the first thing you do after getting the NVC number and calling to give them your email addresses... sending off the DS3032??

after that is approved you get a bill for the IV right?

and oh, the AOS bill comes first yes? with the DS3032 forms?

i just want to make sure i know, koz USC hubby is getting all the stuff sent to him by me, pre filled out, and he has NOOO idea on what to do, so i have to be really clear with him and tell him what to send and when.. you know? :)

I swear, your husband would make a great Viking character in my novel. :D

hahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! hilarious! he is of Irish background remember? ;)
