Im sorry, I thought u had both packages ready, the I864 and the DS230... I ment the 2 different packages... sorry if i confused you... I gave all my document to my wife that is currently in the US, and she is mailing them out from there, both the DS230 and the I864, those are the 2 packets that I was talking about.....

I would keep everything together. Don't want to interrupt the flow of review by have to flip additional pages.

It says in the instructions to include a copy of everything - since they send the original documents back to you.

I went by the instructions posted on the State department website and it says nothing about making a full copy of the forms... Here is what it says (copied from the website)

When complete

Please send all the completed DS-230 Part I forms to the National Visa Center with any other documents requested in this information packet.

So I did not send a copy either... I just made a copy for myself and a copy for my husband and only sent the originals. From what I understood, you take copy with you to the interview at the Embassy....

They do request copies, but I wouldn't sweat it if you didn't include them. I'm sure they have a photocopy machine, and the instructions have to be re-read a few times before you pick up the photocopy requirement (which I think might be better interpreted as a "kind request"). Including the copies may make your process workflow go a little bit faster, and may make the day of the person processing your file a little easier, but I'd be absolutely floored if it resulted in an RFE.

Crikey. I've got the original package with tabs, and then another exact copy of that same entire packet. Hope that's right. I figure if they don't need it, they'll just chuck it or send it back.

Congrats K! I just sent off my DS-3032 e-mail; they said it had been generated on their end, so I shot that sucker off ASAP.

Now I've just got to figure out what to do about this DS-230. Blech.

EDIT: And I just got the auto-response. Woo! I'll call tonight to make sure they received it and it went to the right place.
