Now, I have a question...

My bills are paid, so nwow we printed out the cover sheets... Do we have to wait for some sort of notification before sending the documents out?

I wouldnt want to get delayed after having everything prepared...

Thats what I did. When I went to Italy, I had my husband fill out ALL the documents and get all the required stuff so when I went back to the US, I had everything ready. My husband put me on the 3032 as agent, then when the bill was paid, I sent everything to them via overnight mail from Florida... It seemed to work pretty well, now I am just waiting for the case to be completed....

thank you christeen ... was planning to do that but i just have second thought..so now i will prepare and clip everything... i noticed that ds320 packet the documents need to have a photo copy..did you clipped original with the photocopy or you separate the two?

But don't forget to send 2 different envelopes with the different documents....

so i finally found a cosponsor but this is the delemma in the 3 year tax return deal she did not file in 2006 because she was dependet ( i think on her parents ) so she did not have the tax return forms for the year 2006 ,, what should i do helppppppppppp i am sending every thing tommorow !! and i not filled out any thing yet but i looked at the 864 it is not hard it is just a single paper to fill out but needed a lot of stuff !

Someone can correct me if I am wrong, but I believe since she was claimed as a dependant and not required to file taxes she just has to write a letter stating something like this....

"I did not file taxes for 2006 because I was (a student, claimed on my parents tax returns etc... put the reason). My total income was (put the amount that she claimed and hopefully it is less than like $5,000 which is the limit as a dependent) If they were in school, I would maybe put the college/school name and submit school documents or some proof of that unless they were under 18 in which case just necessary to state that....

Hope that helps?? You might look up the topic in the search box and see if there are other threads that specifically address this issue with co-sponsor... I am sure there are some??? Best of luck...

I had my wife writing down an explanation (I actually wrote it down), and attached a document to actually prove it, se didnt file any taxes, cuz she lived in Italy for 8 years, and I made her attach an hystorical residence certificate (to prove it), then I made her go to a notary public to notarize the paper..

This link can maybe give you advice for the tax thing http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...=196435&hl=

Here you'll find notary publics to notarize the paper http://www.123notary.com

GOOD LUCK

There is part 1 and part 2... The part 1 is signed and the part 2 is not... I left the dates blank when I had him fill them out (I used the VJ templates). When I sent them( 230 package) I sent all the originals and made 2 copies of the entire package. I mailed a copy of the package to my husband and I kept a set. Be sure to put your NVC # on EACH document....

hi cristeen,

what template do you mean ?

Q - On DS-230 PartII

The 39 item - whose name and address should be entered.

The person who filed I130 or who (beneficiary) is getting visa.

Do we have any set of instructions to fill DS-230

look at example forms

I have a question about this example, we are married and option 14 asks for "Spouse's Maiden or Family Name". Shouldn't this be our spouse's name?

You know in the US when you get married the wife takes after the last name of the husband... The maiden/family name is the wife's last name before getting married...

Yes, actually my question is do we need to complete option 14 since it asks our spouse's name. The example had "None" written in this field.

You can pay it online from the Phils, but it must be from a US bank account. It doesn't matter where in the world you sent the documents in from. :)
