my other concern is there any thing i need to do about my job situation ,, last year i was working part time and going to school full time this year the job cut came , so i decided to go ahead and persue my masters so that i can finish in a year , therefore i did not work at all so No employer letter what's so ever for me what do i need to do when doing 864 which ever is am gonna do.... is it 864 or 864ez??? ( so many forms i don't know which one is the correct one ) ,, about co sponsor i may get freinds to co-sponsor my husband alone with my self ( will see) who is gonna be availble but as far as my job situation what should i do ,, from last year's tax transcript i will have some figure on it ,, but currently am a full time student !!! should i get school write me a letter or what ???? ( may be not ???) !!! help

we paid the AOS bill and now it is showing as PAID so we printed the coversheet,

now my Question is should we download the I864 from the site and send to NVC with all supporting documents , or we have to wait and NVC will send some intructions?

I am not an expert, but I would say that you will need a co-sponsor since you do not have income or employment letter. Although it is so commendable that you are back in school, unfortunatly, our gov't is concerned on how your husband will be supported when he arrives. I would get the co-sponsor unless you have substantial assets. Be sure to read the guides for the 864A and get all the appropriate documents for your sponsor as, from what I have read, seems to be a major cause of RFE's (not sending appropriate info of co-sponsor).

I am at the same point you are... I printed the receipt showing paid (it had a barcode and address to send the info) along with the receipt showing paid. I downloaded the 864 from the website and filled it out with all the information, put the receipt on top and overnighted it to NVC, and it was signed for today! So yes, download the form and send it with the receipt...

I am at the same point you are... I printed the receipt showing paid (it had a barcode and address to send the info) along with the receipt showing paid. yes i m agree with u i also got answers from other members and got the same reply just download the form attach all needed documents as well as that barcode cover sheet and send to the given adress.

First off, no nervous breakdowns... it tends to slow the process for you... But seriously, you really NEED to go through the requirements for the 864.. here is the link

Going through my info, line 23 asks for your CURRENT income (and that is where you have to provide the employment letter or paychecks).. and since you do not have any currently, I would say that YES, you will need a co-sponsor. The link above gives step by step instructions on doing this. You will still fill out the 864 but a sponsor will have to fill out the 864A.

Regarding the home, you can count the home, but only the current appraised value minus the outstanding mortgage (in other words you can count your equity) as assets. You will need a copy of an appraisal, loans and the deed.

I understand it is frustrating and a real pain, but it is better to take the time now, get the sponsor and all the documentation and avoid a delay later. Although your education is commendable and will probably get you a great job in the future, unfortunatly the US govt wants to make sure that your husband has financial support now...

But I cannt stress enough to please read all the guides and the instructions on the forms and give yourself the piece of mind of getting all the necessary information. Knowing what to expect cuts down on the stress and anxiety of not knowing what to do. As in graduate school, study, study, study and arm youself with the facts.

I know what you mean. I haven't started assembling anything. I am a student but in undergrad and I am not working right now. I am still looking for a sponsor , it sucks! People just keep on asking me what if you apply for welfare and I just wanna tell them I WON'T. The NVC makes the sponsorship seems like a huge responsibility but it really isn't as long as the beneficiary doesn't apply for welfare.

God please send me a sponsor soooooooonnnnnn, so that I can start assembling everything.

Our file reached NVC on August 24th...I could not wait I called a week (well I tried to wait a full week) after our case arrived to NVC. The nice operator asked for my USCIS number, my name, birth date, my email address, my husband's name, birth date and email address. She asked me what did I need and I told her that I was looking for my Case number and she gave it to me then the DS-3032 was emailed to us then the AOS bill was generated and paid.

I think it depends on who picks up your call at NVC. I had to ask about something that was listed on their website and the first operator told me that I was mistaken. Now I know I can read so I just said ok and called back later and confirmed the information that I needed with another operator.

We are all going through a tough stage in the process.. it seems like we are almost there but not quite yet...I have been reading everyone's story and my heart goes out to all of you. I really wish and pray that all of us have an easier journey from here on. I do not have the separation to even worry about since I came to be with my husband until the interview stage but the frustration and aggravation on my part is really taking a toll on my relationship with him since I can not outlet it. Tough times right now- good luck everyone.

Yes they ask for all that information if you file has already been assigned a case number. For example for my K3 they asked me all kinds of info, but for the 130 they say that the case number hasn't been assigned. Anyway I hope on Monday I get it, so that I can continue with this process.

christeen, there is 2 diplomas/certificates, One is completion of sanity, and the other is the rest of your life with loved one in USA. That is the best reward.
