I tried http://travel.state.gov/visa/visa_4411.html and I am able to select MTL from the drop-down list and it brings up the PDF. Once I click on "I am eligible and interested in electronic processing", my explorer tries to open the link http://www.cas2k3ftp01.com/visa/visa_4411.html and it doesnt work.

You need to email NVC to opt into the program.

Got it...I have to wait for DS3032 to be generated and then use this link to start the process:

semee,, it looks like you and i got our case got approved at the same time but the thing is that the nvc did not get my case yet i don't have case number what is the deal ,,,, what paper are you preparing am i behind

Hi all, will also be doing NVC this month. Just got approval email of NOA2 . No hard copy as yet though.

Time line for I130.

01-25-06 - Got married in Guyana

02-06-06 - Mailed I130 to VSC

02-09-06 - VSC received I130

02-14-06 - Received NOA1

07-09-09 - Became USC

07-12-09 - Mailed VSC with upgrading petition.

07-13-09 - VSC received mail.

07-14-09 - Case shows online change, but does not state what.

09-09-09 - NOA2 email.

do you guys think nvc will take more than three month to complete mycase they still have not gotten my case number yet approved by uscis on august 27 still no case number at nvc !! i cannot wait to start with nvc i am just in the middle of no where ( atleast that is how i feel ) tried to call and nothing is happening !!! i rushing this ?? i cannot seem to relax please helpppppppppppppp i am going in sane i just need an estimate ,,, chiristmas will be a great idea to be with our honeyyy can you guys tell me please

Breathe, my friend Christmas is best case scenario for you and your loved one right now. Just focus on the task at hand. You will be together soon. It may not be by Christmas, but it won't be too long afterwards if that does not happen. Just focus on when you and your loved one one will be together. In the grand scheme of things, it is relatively close Just stay positive. Everyone on here is going through the same thing. I have not hugged my wife since March 25. Words can not convey how much I miss her. I know it is the same for you. We are all in the same boat here...just hang on, it may be a long wait, but it's all worth it in the end, right?

help i called nvc and they said they forwarded the k3 to the embassy to my husband i want to cont,,, with the CR1 so i want to cont ,,,should we go head ,,,with the k3 so confused my husabd thinks since iti s forwarded to the emabassy we should cont, i am confused !!!!

Jo if you follow the K3 he wont be able to work, or drive or anything till you adjust status.

The CR1 visa, he can work, driver, get a job, its the better visa. the only thing with the K3 is he will probley be here sooner, and only maybe 1 or 2 months earlier, and I know that is tempting, but stick with the CR1.

Jo here read this, this is what you and him will have to do if you follow the K3, its truly not worth it Hon, you do these steps once he is here in USA.

Listen to Paris Heart, she is right! With CR-1, your husband will be able to work right away. He will get a two year conditional green card. It's a little longer process, but if you are in NVC already, you are there. CR-1 is the much better visa, and worth the extra steps to get it. Plus, it probably takes not much longer than K3. Go for the CR-1!

Plus Jo you have to file the forms, $930.00 PLUS the bios $80.00 or so, more money, I would do the CR1 and save that money instead of spending more to USCIS, that money is a 2nd honeymoon when he gets here in a CR1 visa Sweetie.

Absolutely do not pursue the K3--the CR-1 is a much better option. Once you get your NVC number, you can finish with them in as few as 13 days, if you've followed the shortcuts. On average, you're looking at a month. The end result, though, is that your husband comes with a greencard. Believe me, it's worth it, both financially and psychologically. Having a greencard will make your life together much, much easier.

Jo just make sure your husband ignores any info from the embassy on the K3.

Its going to save you a lot of money doing the CR1 plus you dont have deal with USCIS for 2 years, and we all need a break from USCIS.

Send hubby the info I sent you and tell him to read all the additional money needed and more time dealing with USCIS, its NOT worth it.

I too was tempted to do the K3 just to have him here sooner, I even saved the money already, now Im going to use that money for a down payment on a car for him when he is here.

ohhhh dear paris thankyou so much every one one for your advice ,,, i will def do the CR1, for sure i called my husband already!! told him we are not gonna do K3 at all we just pray and wait
