Those of you who have managed to get interview dates over the phone, how do you do it? I keep calling and they tell me that I have to wait for the email to get my wife's interview date. They say there's nothing they can do to expedite the scheduling, as they won't schedule any more December interviews until the second week of November. Yet, some December interviews are obviously being scheduled right now for people in this forum. I've heard the bit about them scheduling interviews the second week of every month for interview dates the next month, but obviously that's not the case for everyone, as so many here are finding out their interview dates over the phone just recently.

Do you just have to get the right representative on the phone? Every time I call, it sounds like they're reading a script when they give me instrctions to wait for the email.

If an interview is scheduled, they will tell you over the phone... Lately, they have been doing scheduling the 4th and second week of the month... Not sure if that is just because of the huge amount of recent approvals or what... But you can keep calling, if they have an interview scheduled you can find out... If they do not have anything scheduled, they will tell you that officially the scheduling is done 2nd week of the month, wait for e-mail blah blah blah.... They HAVE to tell you that

11-30-09: GOT GREEN CARD in mail!!!!!!

Citizenship Process;

4/4/2013. : Oath! Now a U.S. citizen!

Still waiting on that case complete... after pestering the NVC for hours on Friday, I finally got one of the supervisors to look at a scanned copy of my birth certificate in an e-mail to prove my father's relationship to me, and she flagged it so another supervisor can review it and (God willing) approve my case. I will be SO happy to have this hurdle behind me... then I can begin trying to get a December interview. If at all possible.

Ah - that would explain it. So a few people got in on the fourth week scheduling. Those of us whose case complete dates were just a little too late to be scheduled last week will just have to wait for next week then. At least I understand the process now - thanks.

Scheduling is currently ongoing during the second AND fourth week, from the looks of it. So this is good news by all accounts.

Kaushalia, what was your RFE for, if you don't mind my asking?

03/27/2009: Engaged in Ithaca, New York.
08/17/2009: Wedding in Calcutta, India.
09/29/2009: I-130 NOA1
01/25/2010: I-130 NOA2
03/23/2010: Case completed.
05/12/2010: CR-1 interview at Mumbai, India.
05/20/2010: US Entry, Chicago.
03/01/2012: ROC NOA1.
03/26/2012: Biometrics completed.
12/07/2012: 10 year card production ordered.

09/25/2013: N-400 NOA1

10/16/2013: Biometrics completed

12/03/2013: Interview

12/20/2013: Oath ceremony

We're gonna be sitting in the December interview line togther, Miss K. Better pack up our stuff. :lol:

I saw that a package left the NVC for Dublin yesterday - am I being too optimistic thinking it may be ours???? No interview is scheduled yet, and we were *just* completed on the 30th. Would that be too soon?

Just a PS- if you get "Molly" at the NVC, count your blessings. She is super, super nice. :thumbs:

No interview yet - they'll be scheduling next week per Molly.

The court records (that ended up being unnecessary per supervisor review) that I overnighted will be added to the file. So that's good, I guess.

10/08/09 - resend -864

10/09/09- 230 got accepted

10/19/09 - LOG IN FAIL, FAIL,FAIL,FAIL,FAIL ( i did not even know what was going on !!!!!) MY BODY JUST FROZE IN FRONT OF THEPC !!!!

10/20/09- It is "official " per op "case complete" OMG !!!!

11/02/09- INTERVIEW date assigned , email received from nvc (Thankyou ! thankyou ! thankyou ! god!!!!!!! thankyou every one

in vj) (total of 35 working days in nvc)

11/04/09- package left nvc

11/16/09- Medical done and waiting for result

12/10/09- VISA APPROVED (slip given appointment for tuesday to pick up passport )

12/15/09- VISA ON HAND ( praise god )

02/01/10 - POE

03/02/10- Green card arrived

Hi! I think Christeen's hubby's interview is next week, and hopefully you saw Paris's thread...

Our timeline:

2/88: We met in Sydney, Australia at a youth hostel! He's Finnish, I'm American-both were in our early 20s at the time and fresh out of college (so couldn't afford to visit each other's countries after that!). We had a three-day romance, then went our separate ways. He actually was going to Sydney a week later, but decided at the last minute to cut his trip short in another country and go early. Wow.

1988-1998: Wrote "snail mail" letters/sent Xmas cards, but lived our separate lives. I married someone else, divorced in 2006...he lived with someone for years and then that ended.

10/08: Because of a series of random life events, I Googled my Finn Man and found him (but no link to his email, and the website his name was on was in Estonian so I couldn't even read it!). It took me two weeks to find a link to someone else, who forwarded my email to him (we were both single at the time thankfully!!!!). The email went to his spam folder but he happened to check it that day and responded back to me immediately! This was after 10 years of no contact and almost 21 years of not seeing each other after we first met.

11/08-5/09: We traveled back and forth to visit each other. Love at first (second?) sight!

7/09: Married in Helsinki, Finland...after meeting randomly 21 1/2 years ago and finding each other again!!!!!

8/13/09: I-130 sent!!!!!!!!!

Rest is on my timeline!

I thought Christeen's was tomorrow, but I was expecting hourly updates on the medical today.
