julie you are ab right ,,, but don't panic they send that so that you have that handy but do go a ahead and send the ASF first and then as soon as they got that taken care of you can send them the VI good luck

sorry let me make my self a lot it clearier ,, okay i have filed on I 130 on june 2009 and after i got the reciept notice i went a head and send the I129F now on august 27 i got the approval notice for both the I 130 and The I 129F ( this is biggggggggggggg time prayer answered) wow i was thrilled so that they said they worwarded to the nvc am at the stage as you said it has been just 6 days i did not count like you did lol this is the status where am at i don't know which one to cont with i know if i go though the I29F he could come with out a hassle of nvc but i don't want to go though the ajd of status till two years of our anniversary which gives me a little break so any suggestion am up to listen

Jo like I said, IGNORE any communication for the K3, and deal with NVC only on the CR1

Look the NVC will send the K3 to the embassy, then the embassy will send the beneficiary your hubby information on when to get his medical, and what docs to brng to interview, he is to IGNORE it!!!! Do NOT respond to embassy on the K3, and it is just that simple and it will NOT effect anythng on your I-130 at the NVC or when the I-130 reaches the embassy when you complete the NVC stage.

Jo, if anyone knows about this it is Paris as she has been going through the CR1 and K3 routes! I did not do the K3, just the CR1.... But from what I have gathered, the K3 is pretty obsolete.... Best of Luck....

Yes my dear, K3 is pretty obsolete. Mine is in AP at NVC, will probley be there way after we finish CR-1 with NVC.

I figure I should pass some of the karma around. People here have been *incredibly* helpful with me. I don't think there's any place quite like VJ. I don't remember any time where I've felt so indebted to people I've never met.

Right now I'm looking at postal rates and trying to figure out the cheapest way to send my DS-3032, my AOS packet, AND my DS-230 packet overnight. By my calculations, postage alone is going to be almost $50. I could drop to priority, but that's not guaranteed overnight... any advice?

A CR-1 Conditonal Residency if married under 2 years, and a IR-1 Immediate Relative visa is what you filed for with USCIS when you sent in the I-130 petition.

AP is Additional Processing, usually additional back ground checks,AP is common at NVC for K1 and some K3 petitions.

Stick with the CR-1 / IR-1 it is the better visa.

dear paris thanks you so much i felt like i was faling my sience class if it was not for you thanks a lot now i got the whole mathe,, yes that is what am gonna do cont with CR so is that the reason for NVC don't have the case yes since approved by uscis ,, don't know it one on autg 27 i guess as mat said it has been just only 6 days or do you advice me to call nvc and ask them for AP i can do that tommorow i guess ,,, i will tell my hubby to disregard pm k3 we have been waiting any ways so we might as well do the CR is what i decided to do ,,, let me know if i need to ask nvc it it is Ap am scared to ask that lol

Per envelope, or all together? I'm sending from the US, but Express Mail's flat-rate envelope is $17.50. For the DS-3032, I can get away with paying direct for postage (so maybe $13.50), but for the larger packets (AOS and DS-230) are going to each be 20+ pages of stuff.

Here's my breakdown--tell me if you did something different, because I'd LOVE to save some cash.

1.) Send DS-3032 via Express Mail. ~$13, possibly more with Delivery and Sig. Confirmation.

2.) Send AOS packet via Express Mail. ~$17.50 for flat-rate

3.) Send DS-230 packet via Express Mail. ~17.50 for flat rate

That's $48 right there. Can I send these things together? Is there a cheaper overnight option? Are people sending this priority, rather than express?

Jo just keep calling NVC and give them your USCIS receipt number for your I-130 and see if they have it yet. But call everyday till they have it, then give them your email and your husband "the beneficiary".

You dont need to ask them if K3 is in AP unless you plan to follow it, I say Dont. It will cost you more money in the end.
