This is absurd; I sent them my AOS and IV packets last week and they still have no record of them. They were confirmed delivered last Thursday at 10 AM. I have no idea how people managed to get through this process in two weeks; I'm going to be lucky if I'm done in two effing months.

Just has not been processed in the system yet... They are a bit slow, the AVR said that they were waiting on documents up till the moment that I got approved... Don't worry, it is in process now.

Thanks Christeen. :) You won't believe this--I JUST called back and now I spoke to another guy (much more pleasant) who told me they've received my packets and directed them for review. I'm pretty sure my AOS will trigger an RFE for my birth certificate (to establish my Dad's relationship to me) but this is progress!

What really gets me is that this is all--ALL--just so I can see and hold my wife again. That's all I want. And the sooner we have our interview, the sooner I can fly out to meet her, and (God willing) the sooner she gets her visa and we can finally be together.

Sigh... at least I got some good news tonight. :D

Well, we are all in the same boat, I dont think we embarked on this journey to test our ability to follow govt paperwork instructions!!!! Best of luck, just have everything ready that they need and hope for the best... It is good that they are looking at it!

Feliz, does the AVR say something specifically about "checklist" ??? Mine doesn't say that - mine just refers in general to "documents." Just curious.

Called again to be sure. Mine says "The NVC has received your documents on October 14th. Please allow 6-8 weeks to review the documents and notify you of the outcome."

I got false RFE issued Oct 1, so mine says checklist response

yeah, for us it was two weeks exactly. 2 has become my favorite number these days, thanks to USCIS (check out signature to see the time lapse between noa1 and noa2) and NVC (2 weeks from noa2 to case number and 2 weeks from ds3032 to iv bill). Hoping in another 2 weeks to get an interview date
