I just called NVC and talked to an operator and explained the situation to her, she told me that the DS-230 is not in the system as yet... to give it a few days since they only received yesterday.... False RFE!

Well, they received my package yesterday (10/13/09) also....I have the same problem you have.....

Yes i see ur time line. they receive my package 10/13/09. I will try call them again, what does it mean

Please let me know if ever U will call them

hello guys...

:unsure: I want to know something else.. Well, im from Colombia and here to change my lastname for lastname`s husband is hard cause i need to change my Id first and after that change my passport... :whistle: and now im waiting for ds 3032 be accepted, i don't want to be late.

My papers have his lastname... and in NVC told my husband that i need his lastname in my passport for get my visa with the same too.. so Now you think is problem if i continue all process with the same lastname ??? or what?? thanks u!!

i`m desperate and worry with this things now. If im going to have problem with my visa.. i dotn care if is his lastname or mine now.. he can fix that later. i guess. Thanks!! :crying:

Naples consulate is really good about answering e-mails... Just explain to them that your wife is expecting and I am pretty sure they can move up your appointment... We are going to ask to move ours up too if possible? I know my husband is so ready to get over here!!!

Since the visa is put in your passport, the passport MUST match the name on the applications... You need to change your name in the passport...

Are you sure this is true? In some countries the maiden name never changes--my mother's Iranian passport, for example, STILL displays her maiden name. I was under the impression that as long as the name on the passport matches either the maiden or married name, you are fine.

my wife changed her name while her case was at USCIS and we had no issues.

You have to use whatever is your legal name. So if you filed under your husbands last name initially and it wasn't your legal name at the time then you must get it changed ASAP or explain to NVC what your legal name is.

WHOOO HOO!!! Got our interview!!! I am sooo shocked, I just called and the lady surprised the hell outta me, I dropped the phone!!! She told me just got in the system!!!

November 10, 8AM Naples Consulate!!!! Happier than a puppy with 2 tails... :dance::dance::dance:

Sorry to all those who have been waiting sooo long for their interviews, I pray that yours are coming soon (especially for the Canucks and their endless waits... )

I just cant believe that afer 6 years of being married it is FINALLY going to happen!!!!! OMG!!!!

christeen wow congrats !! am so happy for you girl what a day!! any ways i found out that nvc schedules interview on the second week of the month i want to share that to you guys , i got that info from nvc operator yesterday , they have not reviewed my AOS yet, so i may not get a november interview i was hoping i would since they assign that in the second week of the month so if they finish it this week it will be in nov if they don't i will have to wait till december interview!!
