Ok , where are you guys logging into ? Is there a website where you can check your progress ?

The online fee payment system, is a website where u can log in in order to pay the fees for your process... and at a certain point it doesnt let you log in anymore, and that means that your process is completed, so after that you have to wait for the interview to be schduled...

Bordering on a panic attack here. Everybody else seems to mail their stuff & it gets into the system quickly. Our stuff was mailed October 6th & there's been no change to the AVR to reflect it's been received. With our past record with the attorney (typos, filing @ wrong place, etc.), I'm really, REALLY scared.....

you cannot tell weather approved or not by just checking the AVR , when you call them just ask that if you AOS was " reviewed" that is the word you want to use because if they just recieved it it does not mean they reviewed it .

okay julie hon, no need to panic this is normal it is taking them about three to four days after recieving it from usps, then about two to three days to review it ( i have been tracking their days using my phone ) meaning the days they received my ds230 to the time they okay it .. so hang in there but this coming week is def your week  crossing my fingers for you

here is what i am thinking happening , if they just got your packet in the system on the 8th it looks like a false RFE , they would not send you a check list on the same day they got in the system it takes a day or two ( at least it took them for me ) so tommorow after noon def we will know some thing you are in the same situation am in ... come on tommorow already !!

I sent my AOS and choice of agent form to NVC 2 days back . Now whats the next step ? Every one talks about DS-230 . I am the petitioner , am i suppose to fill it or does the beneficiary fills that form ? I just want to make sure i am ahead of the game . All information is appreciated .

The DS-230 is your spouse's actual application for a Visa. The information requested will pertain to him/her, but you can fill it out ahead of time and gather all of the documents necessary to accompany it to NVC. I filled mine out for my husband and emailed it so that he could sign it and have it all ready to roll when the $400 invoice turned to PAID.

I'm getting an ulcer here....

My stuff was sent to NVC on 10/6/09 (by certified mail - lawyer didn't send it next day). It should have been there by now, but the AVR hasn't changed to reflect that it was received.....should I be this nervous?

They take awhile to get things processed. I'd say give it a good 10 - 14 days to be reviewed. :star:

Come on NVC... Send me my IV Fee Bill before I spend the money on something else!!!:innocent:

ha Redmen! Maybe I shouldn't go to Costco this morning after all...

Our timeline:

2/88: We met in Sydney, Australia at a youth hostel! He's Finnish, I'm American-both were in our early 20s at the time and fresh out of college (so couldn't afford to visit each other's countries after that!). We had a three-day romance, then went our separate ways. He actually was going to Sydney a week later, but decided at the last minute to cut his trip short in another country and go early. Wow.

1988-1998: Wrote "snail mail" letters/sent Xmas cards, but lived our separate lives. I married someone else, divorced in 2006...he lived with someone for years and then that ended.

10/08: Because of a series of random life events, I Googled my Finn Man and found him (but no link to his email, and the website his name was on was in Estonian so I couldn't even read it!). It took me two weeks to find a link to someone else, who forwarded my email to him (we were both single at the time thankfully!!!!). The email went to his spam folder but he happened to check it that day and responded back to me immediately! This was after 10 years of no contact and almost 21 years of not seeing each other after we first met.

11/08-5/09: We traveled back and forth to visit each other. Love at first (second?) sight!

7/09: Married in Helsinki, Finland...after meeting randomly 21 1/2 years ago and finding each other again!!!!!

8/13/09: I-130 sent!!!!!!!!!

Rest is on my timeline!
