So I started to print out all the email I've sent to my fiancee and all of hers... I have already burned through an entire ream of paper - and I'm only about 75% done...

Do I really need to send all of these papers in? What is a good amount?

Also, for pictures, do they just need 1 or 2 from each "event" I reference in the "how you met, what circumstances" section (Part B #18 of I-129F)?

For emails we printed a few from every month since we met. Photos I had lots. Remember its better to have more than to be asked to submit .

alot depends on the observations fr others going thru your area...sometimes its best to get it all in at the first because at interview maybe they dont ask for much, i would say couple email from each month, your main pictures together, and with family, engagement party if u had one, things like that. Some say less is more but i feel better giving them the full effect from the beginning.

I didn't send ANY "extra" for the petition. I presume that is what you mean. I sent a two sentence description of how we met, ONE photo and copies of boarding passes for the trip. For some consulates it is adviseable to add other documentation. I have not heard Korea is one of those. There is no penalty for sending extra infromation, send what you want.

I sent in only a summary of the emails, date from to. For the interview I sent the same plus two emails printed out, one showing our basic correspondence of me describing something about where I live and another love dovey one showing we had a real relationship (if you are to get married, I believe there should be some love involved!)

For the photos, I sent in four, three shot with us in recognizable places and another of us in our apartment (and also attached a print out of the apartment listing showing the rooms and the one of us in one of those rooms).

Phil (Lockport, near Chicago) and Alla (Lobnya, near Moscow)

Hi Driver!

Honey believe me, u must to send all you can, don't even think about what are u sending is enough, I got a denial cuz qe didn't sen evidence (of course we got a denial for our huge mistake) but I have some other friends here who sent some evidence like pictures, the letters, etc... and they got a denial too or a RFE ...

I'm not trying to be negative, I'm just telling you that send everything that be necesary to prove you 2 have been together, that your relationship is strong enough to USCIS give you the NOA1 and NOA2, you going to save a lot of time with this and headachache, stomachache, frustration, tears...a lot of people here know what I'm talking about...

I wish you the best of the lucks, that your journey be fast, you must be patient, if you feel you are loosing your mind or you get down, just come here, trust me VJ friends or family as I like to call them are the most supportive people and best friends... they are in the same or have been on this...

God bless you in this highway my dear Driver!

For #18, you need to tell and show (i.e., demonstrate by evidence) that you have met in person in the last two years. Primary evidence is what's necessary here, accompanied by secondary evidence if possible. Secondary evidence without primary evidence, however, is not probative and will probably result in an RFE. Refer to the section called "Documentary Proof of Having Met in Person in the Past Two Years and an Ongoing Relationship" from the VisaJourney K1 Guide. The items in #1 are primary evidence, while #2 (photos and the like) are secondary. Emails and the like do not prove meeting, though they do prove an ongoing relationship. This isn't strictly needed for the I-129F, but it can't hurt to include some for the consulate stage. You certainly don't need a ream's worth, though!

So, for #18, make sure you show documentary proof that puts you in the same place at the same time: boarding passes, passport stamps, etc. Then a few photos to bolster that. Don't just send photos though—they're secondary evidence, and secondary evidence without primary doesn't get the job done.

Improved USCIS Form G-325A (Biographic Information)

Form field input font changed to allow entry of dates in the specified format and to provide more space for addresses and employment history. This is the 6/12/09 version of the form; the current version is 8/8/11, but previous versions are accepted per the USCIS forms page.

You don't have to prove a sincere relationship to USCIS because they don't care about this stuff. You only have to prove you've met the requirements to allow your foreign beneficiary to apply for a visa. Aside from the necessary documents, USCIS only cares if you've met the requirement of having physically met in the previous two years. A ream of emails doesn't prove this at all. Emails fall into the category of "proof of ongoing relationship", which isn't needed to get the petition approved. Whether or not you include this stuff with the petition depends on whether it will help you at the consulate stage, and that depends entirely on which consulate you're going through. For high fraud consulates, having evidence like this with your petition can make all the difference in the world. For low fraud consulates, it usually won't make any difference at all.

To reiterate, front loading your petition with proof of an ongoing relationship will NOT help you get NOA2. Front loading may help you at the consulate stage. It depends entirely on which consulate you're going through.

We initially met in Taiwan when she was on vacation and so was I. We communicated by email, phone, and txt messages. January of this year, we both met up in Taiwan again. In May, she came to the US for 88 days. We have passport stamps for all of this - but only have plane ticket stubs for when she came to the US. We have pictures of Disneyland and many other places (also have ticket stubs from Disneyland). I guess I'll pick out 2 emails from each month like others suggested. I'll also try to pick out 2 pictures for each 'place' or 'major event' we we both at (Disneyland... engagement...).

Does that sound good?

Let me tell you what I sent and you make your own conclusions:

1) Copy of my boarding pass to her country when I visited

2) Copies of the air ticket for a trip we made together

3) Copy of hotel voucher for such a trip

4) TWO photos together during that trip

5) Copies of telephone calls to her number

However, I took the time an effort to put a note on each copy clearly explaining what it was. One of those thing was not in English, so I had to explain.

With that, my application was approved within five months of submission. To the consulate she is going to show all that and a newer version of the telephone call details. No emails, just a two-page letter I wrote for the consulate and my financial information. If you want, I will tell you the results next month after her interview at the consulate.

Yea, I'd like to hear how your interview goes. From what I read about Korea - they pretty much say hi and send you on your way. But I'm sure I'd be the one person to get jacked.

I have been wondering about this myself... I have a list of the 500+ phone calls we have made to each other, and I also have over 700 pages of chatlog. I debating bringing the entire chat log (with some redaction) to the interview just to remove all doubt. But that seems like over kill and may be interpreted as trying to hard.

My problem is that my fiancee and I are not picture people. In the year we have been together there are probably less than 10 pictures of us together. We also don't email each other that often. However, we talk every single day using skype chat and voice.

So overkill in one to make up for a lack in another?

Just don't overwhelm them with paper. Six photos printed on one sheet of paper is enough. Boarding passes, passport stamps. hotel receipts, etc. of the times you met, a month's phone bill, and a half-dozen recent e-mails...enough already!
