Medical, interview, visa issuance, etc. What was the total you paid? Itemize if you can.

Here's what we paid for two K beneficiaries. Well, it was the budget and they had enough money. You could probably cut all items except the lodging pretty much in half, then maybe replace the travel expense with the currently appropriate for your circumstance.

RMB

Medical Exams 1800

Visa Fees 1660

Visa Pickup 40

Travel to GUZ 820

Lodging in GUZ 1400

Food & Misc. 900

Extra 1380

8000

Medical Exam - 800rmb

K-1 Visa fee - $131

Visa mailing/EMS- 20rmb

Food of course was cheap just like the rest of China. Lodging was a bit different for us because we stayed 2 nights at the Jianguo Hotel in Guangzhou before the interview for about 400rmb per night and then spent 2 nights at the Cosmopolitan Hotel in Hong Kong (about $95/night) while we were waiting for the visa to be printed - so our hotel costs were much more than you need to pay.

We rode the subway, which was very inexpensive, to most places in GUZ that were not near our hotel & the consulate except to the Medical exam when we took a taxi for about 13rmb each way I believe.

I flew into Hong Kong and took the train to GUZ which was about $25. The Guangzhou East railway station is located within walking distance to the consulate and most of the hotels that people tend to stay at in GUZ.

This is great info! Thanks so much.

Roger sent me this estimate for my two girls:

Medical exam: 900RMB x 2

Interview fee: 904RMB x 2

Hotel: 230RMB/day

Food and taxi: Probably 1500RMB for three people during the 7 days in Guangzhou
