I am wondering if you need to have your medical within a certain time frame of having your interview. e.g. do they need to be within a week of each other?

AOS

Feb 26 NOA1 for AOS/EAD/AP

May 1 EAD approved

May 11 AOS approved

May 24 EAD received

June 7 GC received

Medicals expire but not that quickly. If you time it well the same medical that is used to come here may still be valid for AOS I believe.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

Right, the medical results are good for a year. You probably shouldn't have the medical done too far in advance, since you still want to be within that 1 year window when you file your AOS. I had my medical almost 2 months before the interview, and that was perfectly fine. A lot of people try to do it within a week of the interview if they live far from a panel physician and don't want to make two separate trips for the medical then the interview.
