We got an e-mail notice that the I-129F has been approved, same date as I-130s (08-28-2009).

How fast are CR1s processed considering you have a complete case at NVC and all the bills (for AOS and IV) are paid?

Hi o0pink0o.

Thanks for the response. My husband and I kasi are kind of apprehensive about going for CR1/CR2. He read on the VJ immigration timelines that the average CR1 case takes 153 days to approve from the time you receive the NOA2 up to the interview.

Rick is currently living with a flatmate so he could save on rent...but recently his flatmate has asked him to leave the apartment so she could have the space to herself again (it is her apartment, she just offered him the extra room to stay while our petitions and subsequently our visas are being processed...he started staying in that apartment March 2009). She is letting him extend, but expects him out of the apartment by the end of October, at the latest.

Given his sensitive situation, it really is important for us (our daughter and I) to get the visas before the end of October. I know a few VJ members here who managed to get their CR1s within 2 months after receiving their I-130 NOA2...but the timing is so tight that it does not leave room for error. If NVC or the U.S. Embassy slows us down, we will be in trouble.

If he leaves the apartment too soon, or if by some awful twist of fate his flatmate turns around and throws him out of the apartment, he will have to quit his job also because there is nowhere for him to move...the school where he works for has experienced two rounds of budget cuts within the past 8 months and so his available cash is very limited...therefore limiting his choices for renting/leasing.

I'm working on a tight budget myself so I am unable to help him now. But hopefully when I receive my quarterly commissions we can move him out of that situation. We are also trying to be careful not to hurt our budget for going home to the U.S.

It has been a stressful few weeks, and his flatmate being a royal pain has somewhat taken away the happiness we felt when we finally received the e-mail approvals.

We are both trying to be strong and keep each other sane...I hope the NVC and the U.S. Embassy can show us some love, because we really need it.

Thanks for your post and your inputs. Have a great week!
