I had someone order an XL 7x7 once... There was literally 1 inch of coffee put into the cup. It was like drinking a cup of cream and sugar!

One night a young man came in and ordered and XL 17 sugar and 1 cream. He came in about 4 times that night and ordered the same thing. I never saw him after that night...

that's coz he developed diabetes and went into shock after his 4X17= 68 sugar packs

If you don't want to read about Tim Horton's you can always skip the posts - most of them have the name right in the title so it's not like it is any surprise.

Country Style is ok - had good pastries and alright coffee - but they still have/had a smoking section in the one near where I used to live and all of the pastries and donuts tasted like stale cigarette smoke. Their luncheons sandwiches were really good though - and didn't taste like cigarette smoke.

Second Cup's coffee is too bitter - it is more like Starbucks although not that bad.

Never heard of Timothy's.

There was one Country Style, no Second Cups and no Timothy's in the city where I used to live. There were lots of Tim Horton's though, at least 10 shops that I can remember

Yawn. You know, this Tim Hortons thing on VJ gets a bit old after a while.

After all, there are other native Canadian donut chains.

Country Style, anyone?

Or for more upscale coffee outlets:

Or Timothy's

Puhleeze. The constant promos of Tim Hortons on VJ are making me wonder if Ewok is taking contributions for the promotional placements

But really? I just like coffee...

In the States I frequent Dunkin Donut - medium French Vanilla coffee with double cream and one sweetner equals a Tim Horton's large back home. Nice, mellow rich tasting coffee with none of that burnt acidity of Starbucks.

I like Timothy's Chai Lattes.

And I don't see a whole lot of them in this area.

I always get an Iced Cap at Timmies.

Or hot chocolate. One of those two.

I used to LOVE their blueberry cream cheese danishes, but they don't taste the same anymore.

I am addicted to Starbucks chai tea lattes and I order mine 'extra hot'. That drink is money y'all! It's way too expensive though so it's like a special little treat. Everytime I get a letter from the USCIS I buy one. Oh yeah, and on any day that ends in a 'y'.

BTW and completely off-topic, when I get my citizenship, I've already picked out my celebratory cake....white cake, vanilla buttercream icing with red and blue trim and a Canadian and US flag, natch. If anyone of you out there are naturalized and had a cake to celebrate, please post or send a picture if you have one. I might need to rip off a good decorating idea.

Depending on the time of day - morning was XL hot chocolate double cream with a toasted raisin bagle with strawberry cream cheese; afternoon or evening would be bottled peach juice with a chocolate chip muffin.

I used to drink coffee but quit 3 yrs ago during my depression and never started again. I never drank Timmie's coffee but my 15 yr old daughter does sometimes.

This is the pin I wore to my Citizenship Oath ceremony. It would make a good cake decoration too:-)

Hmmm, now that looks intriguing! They have stores in Virginia, Biloxi Mississippi and Orlando, Florida - closer than Tim Hortons. I'll definitelly have to keep them in mind. Thanks!

The picture of the prune character makes me nervous...

But my regular Timmy's trip includes, either an Ice Cap or a Hot Chocolate with a Honey Glaze donut or timbits. :3
