i 've just received this mail from uscis ...

Status: Notice mailed welcoming the new permanent resident.

On August 28, 2009, we mailed you a notice that we had registered this customer's new permanent resident status. Please follow any

instructios on the notice. Your new permanent resident card should be mailed within 60 days following this registrations or after you complete

any ADIT Processing referred to in the welcome notice, whichever is later. If you move before you get your new card all customer service. You

can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. Just follow the link below to register.

before this is received mail that Card Production ordered and u'll get ur card within 30 days .. but now they'r saying that i'll get my card within 60days of ADIT or whatever .. :s

can anyone please tell me that what does it mean ADIT ?

i heard that its a stamp on the passport and used for travel but what if i don't wanna travel ?

then i can get my card earlier than that ?

what is it all about ?

07/27/2012 - Placed inline for scheduling interview

10/09/2012 - Text recieved, scheduled for interview

10/13/2012 - Interview letter recieved in the mail

11/15/2012 - Interview

11/21/2012 - Oath and Finally a US Citizen :)

ADIT is an old term that isn't used anymore (it was what we now call biometrics - which we also now do before the card is approved)..

Mailed n-400 : 4-3-14

USCIS Received : 4-4-14

NOA1 Sent : 4-8-14

Biometrics Appt Letter Sent : 4-14-14

Biometrics Appt : 5-5-14

but i've already had my biomatrics in the january 2009 so still i need them ?

one morething is first i got the email of card production ordered then this one so what does it mean ?

is my card already being producted or they still need my biomatrics before the production of the card ?

You received a generic e-mail informing you that a notice has been sent in the regular mail. When you get the actual notice it will be more specific.

If you have completed the biometrics, then the card is in production.
